治咽喉肿痛，上膈壅热，口舌生疮。
升麻 人参 干葛 赤芍药 桔梗（去芦，各二钱） 甘草（一钱）
上作一服，用水二盅，生姜三片，煎至一盅，食远服。
治喉闭及缠喉风。
僵蚕（直者，十个） 硼砂 雄黄 全蝎（十个，头尾全者，去毒） 明矾 猪牙皂角
（一挺，去皮弦，各一钱） 胆矾（半钱）
上为细末，每用一字，吹入喉中，即愈。
又方 治喉闭。
青黛（五分） 胆矾（熟者，二钱半） 猪牙皂角（去皮弦，五钱）
上为细末，醋煮薄面糊和丸，如樱桃大，每用一丸，以熟绢裹在箸头上，用好醋润透，
将药点在口内喉疮上，咬着箸，其涎如水出，即解，后服防风通圣散。

上为细末，以竹筒纳药，吹入喉中，即消。
治咽喉闭壅，一时不能言语，痰涎壅盛。
灯心灰（二钱） 硼砂（一钱）
上为细末，每用少许，吹入喉中，有涎吐出。
Treats soreness and swelling of the throat, heat accumulation in the upper jiao (upper burner), and sores on the mouth and tongue.
Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae), Renshen (Radix Ginseng), Gange (Radix Puerariae), Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Jiegeng (Fructus Platycodonis, remove the rhizome, each 2 qian), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, 1 qian).
Take as one dose. Use two zhong of water and three slices of Shengjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens), decoct until one zhong remains. Take well after meals.
Treats Hou Bi (throat closure) and Chan Hou Feng (winding throat wind).
Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, straight ones, ten pieces), Pengsha (Borax), Xionghuang (Realgar), Quanxie (Scorpio, ten pieces with complete head and tail, remove toxicity), Mingfan (Alumen), Zhuya Zaojiao (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, one pod, remove skin and fibrous strands, each 1 qian), Danfan (Chalcanthite, half qian).
Pulverize into fine powder. For each use, take an amount equivalent to "yi zi" (a small measure), blow it into the throat. It will heal immediately.
Another prescription for treating Hou Bi (throat closure).
Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis, 5 fen), Danfan (Chalcanthite, calcined, 2.5 qian), Zhuya Zaojiao (Fructus Gleditsiae Sinensis, remove skin and fibrous strands, 5 qian).
Pulverize into fine powder. Mix with thin wheat starch paste boiled in vinegar to form pills the size of a cherry. For each use, take one pill, wrap it in cooked silk cloth attached to the tip of a chopstick. Moisten thoroughly with good vinegar. Apply the medicine to the sores inside the throat in the mouth. Bite the chopstick; saliva will flow out like water, and the condition will resolve. Afterwards, take Fangfeng Tongsheng San.

Treats Hou Feng (throat wind).
Pengsha (Borax, half liang), Pu Xiao (Natrii Sulfas), Pian Nao (Camphora), Zhusha (Cinnabaris, 1 qian), Xionghuang (Realgar, half qian), Shexiang (Moschus, a small amount).
Pulverize into fine powder. Load the powder into a bamboo tube and blow it into the throat. The symptoms will dissipate immediately.
Treats throat obstruction and congestion, inability to speak temporarily, and excessive phlegm-saliva accumulation.
Dengxin Hui (Ash of Juncus effusus, 2 qian), Pengsha (Borax, 1 qian).
Pulverize into fine powder. For each use, take a small amount and blow it into the throat. Phlegm-saliva will be expectorated.
Yan Xiao (Saltpeter, one and a half liang), Pengsha (Borax, half liang), Pian Nao (Camphora, one yi zi), Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, 1 qian).
Pulverize into fine powder. For each use, take a small amount, blow it into the throat and hold it in the mouth. Phlegm-saliva will be expectorated.
Treats Hou Bi (throat closure).
Use the above method to needle the Shaoshang acupoint. Bleeding leads to immediate cure. The acupoint is located on the medial side of both thumbs, approximately the width of a leek leaf from the corner of the nail. Prick with a three-edged needle to induce bleeding. Immediate effect.
