The path of women's cultivation originally involves transforming from Yin to Yang; when Yang reaches its extreme, the Spirit becomes complete. Upon reaching this stage in Neidan (Internal Alchemy) practice, one must maintain long-term perseverance without slackening, refining the Spirit body repeatedly and sustaining it through visualization, until the body is as clear and pure as an ice pot, and the Spirit as bright and calm as autumn water. However, one must not allow the Spirit to remain within the body for too long; it should fall naturally like a ripe melon. When the Spirit is round and full, it should be migrated. If the Spirit is not moved out of the body, one remains merely a ghost guarding the corpse, which is hardly remarkable.
At this time, the method of expelling the Spirit should be employed to move the Spirit outside the body. If expelled too quickly, the Spirit may become lost with nowhere to return, requiring the practitioner to guide the expelled Spirit back inside. Through cycles of exiting and entering, progressing from near to far, one must strictly avoid indulgence or laxity. Only after training has become mature and seasoned can one allow the Spirit to come and go freely; once proficient, there will be no fear or avoidance.
Although the method of expulsion is thus described, the skill of expelling the Spirit requires distinction. Before the Spirit exits, it belongs to a state of supreme stillness, and the practice remains consistent with the rules of "Nourishing Truth" (Yang Zhen), continuing until the Spirit is fully rounded, at which point this static cultivation ceases.
After the Spirit has exited, it belongs to movement, differing from previous practices. One should employ the method of "Resting the Spirit" (Yi Shen), making the divine spirit accessible, round, and harmonious, without any obstruction, until spiritual powers manifest remotely. Only then can one rest. From then on, one should suitably nurture the Primordial Spirit in leisure, perhaps wandering mountains and playing with waters, or sitting quietly and playing the zither. Engaging constantly in joyful activities brings boundless delight. When opportunities arise to perform merit, act immediately; when action is required, take it forthwith. The application of spiritual power holds infinite Daoist wonders. If one completes eight hundred good deeds and three thousand merits, golden edicts of selection will descend, Dragon Maidens will arrive, True Immortals will personally nurture, and one awaits deliverance for ascension. In the Nine Heavens, one shall indeed be carefree; in Penglai Cave, true joy abounds. As it is said, "Take off the garment of the fetal state, become a Goddess Immortal," is this not beautiful? Is this not joyful? Why should believing women hesitate to practice?
The female Neidan功夫 (Kung Fu/Practice) has been successfully cultivated, nurturing a Pure Yang body, free to enter and exit, unrestrained. At this stage, one should widely perform acts of merit and plant roots of goodness. One must not, because the Spirit exits and enjoys freedom, disregard the fruits of the Dao. Nor should one, through intentional mental exertion, recklessly reveal heavenly secrets; nor twist heaven and earth, returning to secular ways, speaking much to leak the wonders of Creation, or acting contrary to the righteousness of Heavenly Principle. Such reckless actions deserve heavenly punishment. When practice reaches this point, one should only act as a representative of Heaven to propagate transformation, protecting the nation and saving the people. When merit and action are complete, Supreme Sages and High Zhenren (True Ones) will naturally deliver and ascend one. Then, ascending to the Golden Palace to receive imperial edicts, one resides forever in the Heavenly Palace with boundless joy.
Why must female practitioners rely on "waiting for deliverance"? Because their bodies are weak due to blood and Qi, relying on internal alchemy to achieve a Yang body. Although the body achieves Yang status, the nature of Yin condensation has not been entirely refined away. Therefore, female practice lacks the segment of "Returning to Emptiness" (Huan Xu), and its application cannot fully exhaust the miraculous transformations of Heaven and Earth. Those who cannot transcend the worldly realm do so entirely because their physical form is not firm enough. Unlike men, whose bodies have been refined into indestructible Diamond Bodies, and whose Huan Xu practice cultivates divine light filling Heaven and Earth, allowing them to achieve the Dao and become True without waiting for deliverance, personally worshipping the Supreme Emperor, and roaming Penglai. Women are different. Once female Neidan is complete, one must extensively perform merit. If merit is fulfilled, Supreme Sages, seeing and pitying her, will recommend her to the Supreme Emperor, resulting in an imperial decree and golden edict of selection, certifying the highest Dao fruit of humanity and heaven. Otherwise, one remains but a scattered immortal, unable to share the longevity of Heaven and Earth, ultimately returning to transformation and dissolution.
Female practitioners cultivating this method, after the Spirit has exited, must wait for Supreme Sages to extract and deliver them to Truth before concluding the practice. If merit and action are complete, receiving worship in the human world forever, one can above compensate for Heaven's incomplete transformation, and below save sentient beings from suffering and disaster. With merit perfectly harmonious, sharing longevity with Heaven and Earth, shining as brightly as sun and moon, escaping reincarnation, directly transcending kalpas, experiencing neither birth nor death, one is truly called the elegant beauty of the inner chambers and the high master within the household. I hope all women in the world with ambition do not abandon themselves!
