大肠,则大便不通;结于小肠,则小便不通;若大小肠俱为热所结,故烦满而大小便皆不通
也。

Discussion: Obstruction of both large and small intestines during pregnancy arises from excess qi in the internal organs generating heat. The pathology forms where the heat accumulates. If heat binds in the Large Intestine, defecation is obstructed; if it binds in the Small Intestine, urination is obstructed; if both the Large and Small Intestines are bound by heat, there will be irritability, fullness, and obstruction of both defecation and urination.
