Formulas for treating abdominal pain during pregnancy.

When a pregnant woman suddenly experiences stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, leading to fainting and a sensation of impending death, it is termed Zhong'e (Sudden Invasion by Evil Qi). This refers to evil qi invading the fetus and harming the body. The reason for this is that blood and qi are originally used to nourish the fetus and serve as the master of spirit. If blood and qi are disharmonious, spirit becomes weak, allowing toxic evil qi to invade. Diseases during pregnancy can also damage the fetal qi.

Discussion states: The Kidney governs the waist and feet. Due to fatigue and injury, the meridians become deficient, allowing Wind to invade, resulting in waist pain; Cold Qi enters the abdomen due to deficiency, causing abdominal pain, thus leading to mutual pulling pain between the waist and abdomen. If the pain persists, it easily disturbs the fetal qi. In women, the Kidney connects to the Bao Gong (Uterus). During pregnancy, severe waist pain may lead to miscarriage.
