Obtain the "Chuan Shi Lao" parasite (a parasitic worm causing consumptive disease). Before taking this medicine, first select an auspicious day, burn incense and pray. Have the patient set up a bed and take the medicine facing the direction of good fortune; it will immediately produce miraculous effects. Do not let the patient know the taste or details of the medicine.
Qing Sang Pi (Bark of Mulberry), Yang Liu Zhi (Willow Twig), Mei Zhi (Plum Twig), Tao Zhi (Peach Twig) (for the above, select twigs growing towards the east, seven stems each), Cong Bai (Scallion White, seven stems), Qing Hao (Artemisiae Annuae Herba, one handful; if unavailable, use its seed), Zhen An Xi Xiang (Benzoin Resin, 1 fen, ground, remove stones), A Wei (Ferulae Resina, 1 fen).
For the above eight ingredients, except for A Wei, boil with 1.5 sheng of urine from an uncircumcised boy. Boil until the liquid reduces by half, then strain to remove dregs. Dissolve A Wei in the medicinal juice, boil again for more than ten times, strain to remove dregs, and when warm, mix with the following powdered medicines to be taken in two doses:
Zhu Sha (Cinnabar, 0.5 liang), Xiao Bing Lang (Areca Seed, 0.5 liang), She Xiang (Moschus, 0.5 fen).
Grind the above three ingredients to an extremely fine powder, divide into two doses. Take with the aforementioned decoction. Take the first dose at Wu Geng Chu (early morning, around 3-5 AM), the second dose at San Dian (around 1-3 AM), and expel the worms during Chen Shi (7-9 AM), thereby eliminating the root cause. If the expelled worms are white, the disease will surely be cured; if black, it has transmitted to the Kidney Meridian and is incurable. After taking the medicine, only supplement with light rice gruel; this does not damage the Yuan Qi (Original Qi). The efficacy is unparalleled. Keep it strictly secret. It is said that the Lao Chong (consumptive worm) has spirituality, and transmitting this prescription lightly harms the physician. This is likely because physicians cherish their prescriptions and refuse to teach them. One must treat it with secrecy and respect to avoid leaking heavenly secrets. It brings the dead back to life, its merit equals creation, protected by gods and spirits, naturally effective. Generally, for those suffering from Chuan Shi Lao, one must first take this medicine, then refer to the "Shi Wu Fang" (Fifteen Prescriptions) to treat according to symptoms; do not use medications indiscriminately. Regulate for three to five months, then take this worm-expelling medicine again to permanently eradicate the root. If the expelled worms are already black, even taking subsequent medicines will be of no benefit. However, this can prevent transmission to others.
