Discussion 1: When children reach three or four years old, or five or six years old, breastfeeding should be discontinued. If the child refuses to wean, it is appropriate to use "Duanru Jinmei Gao" (Weaning Eyebrow Paste).
Formula: Gardenia fruit (Shanzhizi, 3 pods, burnt to charcoal retaining its properties), Realgar (Xionghuang, a small amount), Cinnabar (Chensha, a small amount).
Preparation: Grind the above three herbs into fine powder, add a small amount of raw sesame oil and Calx Plumbi (Qingfen), mix evenly. While the child is asleep, apply to both eyebrows. Upon waking, the child will no longer desire breast milk. If ineffective, apply again.
Discussion 2: Formula for women wishing to wean.
Ingredients: Angelica sinensis tail (Guiwei), Red Peony Root (Chishao), Safflower (Honghua, washed with wine), Achyranthes root (Niuxi, stir-fried with wine).
Usage: Decoct in water, take before going to bed.
Discussion 3: When a woman's blood and qi are vigorous, breasts may swell and ache, or ache due to lack of infant suckling, accompanied by aversion to cold and fever. Use Malt (Maiya) one to two liang, stir-fried, decocted in water and taken. Malt has such a significant effect of dissipating blood and qi. For those with spleen and stomach weakness and indigestion, this herb is often used in formulas. Another view states that Malt most easily depletes kidney qi. In cases where spontaneous lactation occurs due to deficiency of blood and qi, Shiquan Dabu Tang (Ten Significant Tonifying Decoction) is appropriate. Children born under such conditions are often difficult to raise.

For irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, frequent heavy periods, loss of appetite, red face and dry lips, numbness in hands and feet, black blood spots on the body, stiffness like a board due to wind-stroke or wind-cold postpartum, administer Mahuang Tang (Ephedra Decoction) mixed with the powder.
