Another prescription uses Chan Su (Toad Venom, a yi zi amount), mixed with She Xiang (Musk) uniformly for application. It is discussed that: The circulation of blood and the cycle of qi constitute Wei Qi (Defensive Qi). After the completion of Bian Zheng (a physiological phenomenon in infant development involving fever and growth spurts), during dietary intake, there is deep concern about injury to Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive Qi), leading to various diseases. If qi is injured by toxic pathogens and blood by heat pathogens, Heat-Toxin attacks. Which deficient zang organ is affected? Generally, the Kidney (Zang Organ) in children is often prone to deficiency; it must not be subjected to Heat-Toxin, which could attack the Kidney and damage sinews and bones. Only the teeth, receiving the residual qi of bone, are the first to manifest disease, named "Zou Ma Gan" (Gangrenous Stomatitis progressing rapidly like a running horse), rather than developing slowly. Suitable internal medications include Gan Lu Yin (Sweet Dew Decoction), Di Huang Gao (Rehmannia Ointment), Hua Du Dan (Detoxifying Pill), Xiao Du Yin (Disinfecting Decoction). For external symptoms, apply the aforementioned Li Xiao San (Instant Efficacy Powder) and She Su Gao (Toad Venom Musk Ointment). Strictly avoid consuming foods with Heat-Toxic properties. This type of Gan syndrome differs from ordinary conditions; physicians should investigate deeply, prioritizing the preservation of the child's health. Using standard prescriptions makes complete recovery difficult.
