玉丹矾各三分重，百草霜该用半匙，次下元丹厘许足，再加甘草末三匙，必要用时方配合，加硼少许更称奇。
玉丹方（即玉丹配合法）
制明矾（春夏用二分，秋冬用三分） 百草霜（即锅底炭半茶匙）
先研细末，然后下元丹二厘；再研细，下甘草末（三茶匙）、薄荷末（春夏三分，秋冬二分）；再研细末，入冰
片（半分），再研细入瓶内勿走气，此丹过五日无效用矣。必要用时，配合俱要加硼砂少许，有痰症要吊痰者加牙皂少许。
此丹解毒、消痰、祛风、清热，喉科一切轻症，独用此丹可也。再加制蒲黄亦可，重症与金丹掺用，方用奇功。
金丹钱八制硝君，配入蒲黄末四分，蚕末十厘为佐药，牙皂一钱五分均。此丹经岁仍堪用，冰片吹时必要增，独用
非宜因性峻，出痰消肿是其能。
金丹方
制硝（一钱八分） 蒲黄末（四分）
先研细，次下僵蚕末（一分）、牙皂（一分）、冰片（一分），研匀入瓶中。久贮不坏，临用加入牛黄少许更妙。
此丹能消肿出痰，遇牙咬、HT 舌、疔毒用此丹。如咽喉等症，初起不宜多用，因此丹性峻也。若遇重症与玉丹配
合用之。
喉间塞绝命难存，雄黄蚕皂各三分，麝冰皆一胆矾五，斩开关窍是其能。

牙皂末 滑石 姜蚕末（各一分） 明矾（五分） 麝香（一分） 雄黄（三分） 冰片（一分）
如喉症牙关紧闭，以此药吹鼻，或水调灌喉，即吐恶痰。
Jade Powder (Yudan) Formula: Alum and Yuan Dan (Refined Niter) each weigh three fen; use half a spoonful of Baicaoshuang (Soot from the pot bottom); then add a small amount of Yuan Dan sufficient for the purpose, followed by three spoonfuls of Licorice Root powder. It should only be mixed when necessary to use; adding a little Borax makes its effect even more miraculous.
**Jade Powder Formula (Method of Compounding Jade Powder)**
Prepared Alum (use two fen in spring and summer, three fen in autumn and winter), Baicaoshuang (soot from the pot bottom, half a tea spoon).
First grind into fine powder, then add two li of Yuan Dan (Refined Niter); grind finely again, then add Licorice Root powder (three tea spoons) and Mint Leaf powder (three fen in spring and summer, two fen in autumn and winter); grind into fine powder again, add Borneol (half a fen), grind finely again, and put into a bottle without letting the aroma escape. This powder loses efficacy after five days. When necessary to use, it must be compounded with a little Borax; for patients with phlegm syndromes requiring expectoration, add a little Soap Fruit (Gleditsia Sinensis).
This powder detoxifies, resolves phlegm, dispels wind, and clears heat. For all mild conditions in throat diseases, this powder alone can be used. Adding Prepared Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata (Zhi Puhuang) is also acceptable. For severe cases, mix with Golden Powder (Jindan) to achieve miraculous results.
Golden Powder (Jindan) Formula: Prepared Natrii Sulfas (Zhi Xiao) one qian eight fen serves as the sovereign drug; compound with four fen of Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata (Puhuang) powder; ten li of Bombyx Batryticatus (Can Can) powder serves as the minister drug; Gleditsia Sinensis (Ya Zao) one qian five fen is equal in proportion. This powder remains usable for a year. Borneol must be increased when insufflating. It is not suitable for independent use due to its harsh nature; its ability is to expel phlegm and reduce swelling.
**Golden Powder Formula**
Prepared Natrii Sulfas (one qian eight fen), Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata powder (four fen).
Grind finely first, then add Bombyx Batryticatus powder (one fen), Gleditsia Sinensis (one fen), and Borneol (one fen), grind evenly, and put into a bottle. It does not spoil with long-term storage; adding a little Calculus Bovis (Niuhuang) before use is better.
This powder reduces swelling and expels phlegm. Use it for trismus (lockjaw), tongue swelling, and carbuncle toxicity. For throat conditions, do not use much in the early stage because this powder is harsh. If encountering severe cases, combine it with Jade Powder.
When the throat is blocked and life is in danger, use Realgar (Xionghuang), Bombyx Batryticatus, and Gleditsia Sinensis each at three fen; Moschus (Shexiang) and Borneol each at one fen, and Chalcopyrite (Danfan) five fen. Opening the orifices is its capability.
**Opening the Orifice Powder (Kaiguan San)**
Gleditsia Sinensis powder, Talcum (Huashi), Bombyx Batryticatus powder (each one fen), Alum (five fen), Moschus (one fen), Realgar (three fen), Borneol (one fen).
For throat conditions with trismus, insufflate this medicine into the nose, or mix with water and pour into the throat to vomit out foul phlegm.
