(Attached: Various types of Gan syndrome with parasites)
*Shenghui Fang* discusses: The five types of Gan disease in children are all caused by improper breastfeeding and feeding, and loss of regulation in cold and warmth. If the condition persists without improvement, parasites will develop in the abdomen, the body will become yellow and emaciated, and diarrhea will continue incessantly. It is appropriate to administer medication to expel the parasites, so that the Gan qi will gradually recede. These parasites resemble silk threads or horsehair tails, and mostly emerge from the abdomen, back, head, and neck; if the parasites are yellowish-white mixed with red, they can be treated; if they are green, they are difficult to treat.
*Culun Jing* treats pediatric Gan dysentery by distinguishing parasite colors to determine auspiciousness or inauspiciousness. Zhusha Wan Formula:
Cinnabar (size of half a lotus seed), Asafetida (same size as Cinnabar), Bat blood (three drops), Meisu (a little).
Grind the above medicines into fine powder, mix with a little oral grease. First, bathe the child in a decoction of peach and willow branches. Then, depending on the child's size, place a bean-sized amount of medicine into the umbilicus and apply it, covering the child with a green garment. Observe whether parasites emerge; yellow indicates mild condition, while green-black indicates severe condition.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease and convulsions to expel parasites and determine life or death prognosis. Ganchan Wan Formula:
Dried Toad (one piece, preferably collected on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month), Snake slough (one strip, large ones preferred), Valerian flower spike (two liang, placed in a jar with the above medicines, sealed with salt mud, dried, fired until red-hot, cooled, and ground), Picrorhizae Rhizoma (Huhuanglian), Melon stalk (Gua Di), Mother Clove (the latter two ground together into powder), Calculus Bovis (Niu Huang), White Borneol (Bailongnao), Cinnabar, Realgar, Aloe, Himalayan Beechwood Resin (Tianzhuhuang), Moschus (each finely ground, one fen), Indigo Naturalis (Banliang).
Place all the above medicines into a mortar and grind extremely fine. Use pig bile to decoct wheat paste to bind the pills, making them bean-sized. For one- or two-year-old children, dissolve five pills in half he of warm rice wash. After taking the medicine, bathe the child in peach and willow water. Cover with a green garment; the Gan parasites should emerge on the clothing and around the eyebrows and temples, resembling fine bran flakes or flour dust. Toxic black coloration is difficult to treat, while yellow-white is easy to cure. Continue to take two pills with porridge drink, three times daily. Severe cases may recover within half a month.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease causing emaciation, dry and scorched hair, frequent itching of the mouth and nose, and presence of parasites. Moxiang Wan Formula is suitable:
Moschus, Aloe, Fen Shuang (Calomel), Cinnabar (finely ground, each one fen), Toad venom (Chansu, about the size of a white bean), Gleditsia sinensis fruit (San cun, burned to ash), Snake slough (Wu cun, burned to ash), Bat (three pieces, blood taken and mixed into the medicine powder).
Grind all the above medicines finely, mix with melted wax to form pills the size of small beans. First, wash the child with peach and willow water, then apply one pill to the umbilicus. Seal the area with vinegar-flour paste; after a while, parasites will emerge. Yellow, white, and red colors are easy to treat, while black is difficult.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease with dry and thin limbs, abdominal distension, coarse breathing, and frequent rubbing of the nose and eyes. Chulin Wan Formula for expelling parasites is suitable:
Aloe, Calculus Bovis (Niu Huang) (each finely ground), Cicada slough (each one fen), Nifen (Calomel), Fen Shuang (Calomel), Sulfur (finely ground), Moschus (finely ground, each one qian), Tianfu (one piece, burned until smoke ceases), Indigo Naturalis (Banliang, finely ground), Croton seed (Shi mei, peeled and cored, ground, wrapped in paper, pressed to remove oil), Snake slough (one strip, burned to ash).
Pound and sieve the above ingredients into fine powder, mix evenly with the ground medicines, and bind with glutinous rice meal to form bean-sized pills. Take two pills with warm water each time. After some time, bathe the child in peach and willow water, then cover the whole body with a green garment; parasites should emerge. White and yellow are treatable, while green-black are difficult.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease with yellow and thin limbs, abdominal distension, coarse breathing, dry straw-like hair, frequent itching of eyes and nose, mental confusion, and anorexia. Shuiyin Wan Formula for expelling parasites is suitable:

Pound and sieve the above ingredients into powder, mix evenly with the ground medicines. Take Banjin of Sophora root (Kushen), chop finely. Soak in five sheng of water overnight, boil down to one sheng, remove the Sophora root. Then boil down to a paste to bind the other medicines, forming bean-sized pills. Store the pills inside a emptied pig gallbladder, hang in the east of the house, and shade-dry for seven days until dry. Take three pills with Moschus honey water. Afterwards, bathe the child in peach and willow water, cover with a green garment; when parasites emerge from the whole body, or foul gas is discharged along with foul excrement, it indicates the source of the disease has been expelled. For children, add one pill for every three years of age.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease with diarrhea, emaciation, nasal itching, and parasites. Tianfu San Formula:
Tianfu (roasted until slightly yellow), Picrorhizae Rhizoma (Huhuanglian) (each three fen), Nyctibiidae droppings (Yemingsha, lightly fried), Snake slough (burned to ash, each banliang), Alum (ash), Datura seed (Langedzi, washed clean, fried until yellow-black, each one fen), Calculus Bovis (Niu Huang), Cinnabar, Moschus (each finely ground, one fen).
Pound and sieve the above ingredients into powder, grind evenly, bind with glutinous rice meal to form bean-sized pills. For one- or two-year-old children, take three pills on an empty stomach with cooked water. After taking the medicine, bathe the child in peach and willow water, cover with a green garment for a long time; parasites should emerge. Yellow, white, and red are easy to treat, while black is difficult. Adjust dosage according to the child's size.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease with parasites. Dingming Tianlinggai Wan Formula:
Tianlinggai (Skull cap, ash), Sweat socks (ash), Moschus, Donkey hoof guard dry (ash, each one fen), Arsenic trioxide (Pishuang, half fen), Toad venom (Chansu, one piece, willow leaf-sized).
Grind all the above ingredients into powder. Bind with refined honey to form sesame-sized pills. Take two pills on an empty stomach with warm water. Afterwards, bathe the child in peach and willow water; when the bathwater clears, look into the basin; ant-like parasites should appear. White is auspicious, black is inauspicious. Adjust dosage according to the child's size.

Cinnabar, Moschus, Calculus Bovis (Niu Huang), Snail (Wo Niuzi, fried until slightly yellow), Nyctibiidae droppings (Yemingsha, lightly fried), Bear bile (Xiong Dan) (each one fen), Toad venom (Chansu, half qian).
Grind all the above ingredients finely, bind with wheat paste to form bean-sized pills. Take three pills with warm water each time. Additionally, dissolve one pill in water and drip into the nostrils; inducing five to seven sneezes is effective. After a long time, parasitic sweat should emerge, providing immediate relief.
*Shenghui Fang* treats pediatric five types of Gan disease to expel parasites. Ganchan Wan Formula:
Dried Toad (burned to ash, one piece), Tianlinggai (Skull cap, burned to ash, banliang), Moschus (finely ground, half fen), Cicada slough (lightly fried, legs removed), Turtle carapace (Biejia, coated with butter, roasted until yellow and charred, skirt edge removed, each one fen).

For children under two years old, take one pill with蛤粉汤 (Clam powder soup); for children aged three to five, take two pills. After taking the medicine, continue to bathe the child in peach and willow water, then cover with a green garment; parasites should emerge. Red and white are easy to treat, black is difficult.

Bear bile (Xiong Dan), Cinnabar, Moschus, Python gallbladder (Ranshe Dan) (each finely ground), Dung beetle (Qianglang, lightly fried), Melon stalk (Gua Di) (each banliang above).
