According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Pathogenesis of Diseases by Master Chao) regarding the syndrome of cold lin in children: Cold lin is characterized by symptoms that begin with chills and trembling, followed by urination. This occurs because children have overexposed themselves to cold, allowing pathogenic cold to invade the lower jiao (lower burner). The cold qi enters the bladder (urinary bladder) and contends with the body's righteous qi. When the cold pathogen prevails, chills and trembling occur; when the righteous qi prevails, the chills subside, allowing for normal urination.
