《聚宝方》睡脾散方 治小儿急慢惊风。
桑螵蛸（四个） 干薄荷叶 干蝎（全者） 人参 干山药 天南星（炮） 半夏（生姜汁浸，焙。各一分）
上七味为细末。每服半钱，麝香粟米饮下。
《聚宝方》玉蕊丸 治小儿急慢惊风。
天南星（去皮、脐） 半夏（去脐） 白僵蚕（直者。各半两） 定粉（一钱） 腻粉 水银（同腻粉各半钱，研

上六味为末，研匀，糯米粥丸如桐子大。头风、夹脑风、头旋、目晕、涎溢，用薄荷腊茶嚼下二丸，如要
利加至五丸。急风，薄荷酒下十丸，以利为度。妇人血风，荆芥酒下二丸。小儿急慢惊风，金银薄荷糯米煎
汤化下一丸至二丸，效。
《聚宝方》青金丹 定小儿急慢惊风，神效。
使君子（二枚，白面一匙和作饼子，通裹，烧面熟，去面取之） 芦荟（一分，研） 青黛 麝香（各一钱） 腻

上七味为末，香墨水和丸，作三十丸。每服一丸，薄荷汤化下。
《玉诀》治急慢惊风。生银丸方
生银（半两，如无，以水银半两结砂子） 辰砂 铁粉（飞过。各半两） 全蝎 蝉（各十四个） 粉霜 巴豆霜

以上末之，煮枣肉丸桐子大。每服一丸，用姜枣汤化下。二、三岁者一、二服。如要小，丸黍米大，服
三、五丸。
又方乌犀角膏 行风下涎。
枣子（三枚，去核，每枚入巴豆三粒，针刺火上烧过，存性） 砂（三钱） 轻粉（一钱匕） 朱砂（飞过） 香

《四十八候》大青丹

上件末，酒糊丸如桐子大。一服一丸，薄荷蜜水磨下。急慢惊痫等疾，量儿大小用。如寻常潮热、惊热、
风热、温壮或变蒸，一丸可作二服。伤寒不得用。如惊风、搐搦、上视，以鹤顶丹。
《惠眼观证》 汤丸 下涎。治急慢惊风，伤寒呕逆，壮热，大小便闭塞，腹胀，虚膨，渴水、疳虫攒心，赤
白滞痢，惊膈，霍乱吐泻，脾风等疾。
龙脑 麝香（各一字） 青黛（炒，末，抄三钱半） 白丁香（炒，末，抄三钱） 水银 轻粉 天南星（炒，末）
滑石（炒，末。各抄二钱） 巴豆（三十六粒，浸去皮，烂研，用纸裹，去油，再研）
上研合和，令匀，入巴豆霜内，一向研三、四百下，又倾出，研脑、麝，方入前药，都研，复倾出，研饭
少许，如硬，入水数滴令匀烂，方却用药为丸如此○大。一岁下十五丸，二岁二十丸，三岁、四岁下二十五
丸，五、六岁下三十二丸，余更随大小虚实加减。下疳虫攒心，用皂子二十一个炮，裹槌损，煎汤下；赤白
滞痢，小鱼 煎汤下；其余候并以葱白煎汤下。一更时吃至天明，通下青白粘涎。候众人食时，先以淡粥
补之，次进匀气散。忌生硬食两日，仍进此药。涎末下，次不得吃水。如患急惊，只以此药槌碎下，亦吐
涎来，或慢惊至第二日、第三日补实脾气，下此药压涎亦得。不拘时候。
《刘氏家传方》朱砂膏 治小儿急慢惊风，大人风狂，躁热风痫，伤寒中风，舌强风涎。
桃仁（汤浸二遍，去皮、尖，麸炒干，一两，研烂） 真红花头（半两，焙，末之） 朱砂（研） 滴乳（研。各

上同研至细，入麝香一钱，又研，炼蜜为丸。每服一丸鸡头大，煎薄荷汤半盏，化破和滓服。人参汤或茶
调，或含化。

上修事，用端午三家粽子尖为丸如梧桐子大。用淡竹沥磨下一丸。此方神圣，不可慢易，一粒可救一人。
兼能治丈夫、妇人一切疾，薄荷酒嚼下二丸。《张氏家传》∶竹沥磨下二丸。又《张氏家传方》兼治丈夫、
妇人卒中，涎潮不语，两眼翻上，手足颤拽及瘫痪，手足不随，头旋眼晕，口眼 斜，暗风五痫，惟天南星
用烧锻石内炮裂，去锻石不用，于水洒地上，盏盖出火毒，一复时，服药后，忌一切动风物，余并同。
《刘氏家传》软红丸 治小儿急慢惊风，惊痫涎潮，搐搦直视，牙关紧，项背强，喘咳多睡，发热不时，可服
此方。
朱砂（飞研） 龙脑（别研。各一分） 半夏（修制如前） 黄蜡（各三钱） 粉霜（二钱） 水银（一钱，入金
箔三片，结砂子） 牛黄 腻粉（各半钱） 蝎梢（四十九枚，微炒）
上件杵，研极细，先炼蜡去滓，入油三、五点，离火纳诸药，和搅令匀，成剂。有病旋旋丸黍粒大，半岁
儿可服二丸至三丸，荆芥薄荷汤下。大小量力加减，病愈为度。
又《张氏家传》治小儿急慢惊风，不可细说，夺命丹(又名通天再造丹)
真牛黄 蟾酥 辰砂 天麻 麝香（真者） 乌蛇（真者，以上各一分） 青黛 甜葶苈（微炒。各半两） 独角
仙（一枚，去足，使羽翼） 桑螵蛸 夜行将军（蝎也。各十枚） 真脑子（少许）
上为末，细研乳钵内，用 猪胆汁丸如黄米粒大。急慢惊风，天 ，用新水煎薄荷金银汤化下一粒。如小
儿病极，药不下，以 小滴向鼻中，喷嚏，立灌下，万不失一，神效。
《张氏家传》治头风，黑神丸(兼治小儿惊风。)

以上各一两，修事洗净，一处焙，碾为末。
好墨（一寸，同药为末） 麝香（一字）
上同为细末，用糯米二两碾为末，煮糊为丸如此大○，阴干。药使如后∶头风，茶汤嚼下一丸；伤寒，生
姜、葱、茶嚼下一丸；身上生疮，蜜酒嚼下一丸；肠风痔疾，煎胡桃酒嚼下一丸；妇人血气、血风，当归汤
嚼下一丸；小儿惊风，薄荷水磨下，每一丸为两服；头痛，菊花酒嚼下一丸；老人常服以好酒嚼下一丸。
《张氏家传》治小儿急慢惊风，兼治一百六十种风，身自摇动，半身不遂，积痰昏眩，疮癣瘙痒。
天南星（炮，去皮） 腻粉（用一半拌药末，留一半丸药时过度为衣） 半夏（去心，皮） 南粉（各半两） 白
僵蚕 干蝎 麝香（各一分） 龙脑（一钱）
上件八味并生用，无风处捣，罗为末，煮糯米粥放冷和药，丸如梧桐子大。每服二丸，嚼破温酒下。如急
风，口不开及口面 斜，研药三丸，以薄荷酒调，用葱青筒子灌入鼻内，须臾汗出，口自开。如伤寒，薄荷
热酒下二丸，逡巡再服，瘥。妇人血气、产前、产后、瘫痪、风气，并用当归酒下二丸。小儿急慢惊风，用
牛黄汤化下一丸，入口立瘥。
《张氏家传》治小儿急慢惊风。嚏惊丸
牛黄 芦荟 熊胆（各三皂皂大） 生蟾酥（眉间取有，可用十个） 朱砂（两皂皂大） 龙、麝（各用半皂皂大）
雄黄（五钱） 全蝎（半两，轻炒） 白矾（枯过） 防风（焙） 荆芥穗（各一两）
上除脑、麝外，一处细研匀，然后别研脑、麝细，入前药内，再研，用蟾酥，少添数粒粳米饭和匀，丸如
芥子大。每服一丸，用倒流水化药。如小儿手足牵搐，灌鼻内，良久，打嚏即愈。如未定，再灌之，三次下
嚏，恶候也，别用药治之。如疮疹倒靥及疮平黑色斑出，急用鸡子壳盛酒半壳，生猪血半壳，合盛一壳，用
药两、三丸化在内，火灰内暖热温，时时服之。重午日取酥合药，灵验也。
《张氏家传》矾皂丸 治小儿急慢惊风涎及去风痰，痢胸次，常服永无痰疾。妙方。
北矾（一两半，如无北矾，只南矾亦可，使火飞过） 半夏（姜汁浸一宿，焙） 天南星（切作片，浓皂角水浸一
宿，慢火熬合干，焙） 白僵蚕（择直者方可用，一半醋浸一宿，一半生用。各半两）
上件药并用，碾、罗为末，姜汁煮糊为丸如梧桐子大。每十粒至二十粒淡姜汤吞下，如喉痹热痛，含化，
烂嚼，薄荷新汲水冲下。甚者及缠喉风，皂角水一茶脚研一、二十粒灌下。小儿急慢风涎皂角水研碎揩齿上。
常服，食后临卧姜汤下。不损津液，化涎为水。

上等分为末，并生使。大人每服半钱，小儿半字，葱茶调下。大人中风不语，小儿急慢惊风皆可服。

《张氏家传》治小儿急慢惊风服药未效。宜用神效贴凹散
石燕（二个，醋一钱，烧红 干为度，细研） 艾心叶（七个） 生朱砂（一皂子大，细研） 蓖麻子（七粒，去
壳，细研）
上一处和合极匀。每用一钱匕，用薄荷自然汁调成膏子，贴在鼻山根凹中，少时睡着，候鼻尖头汗出，即
便好安。
《张氏家传》神仙丸 治小儿急慢惊风，兼治中风瘫痪。
朱砂（六钱，用五钱，以一钱为衣） 人参 沉香 全蝎（微炒） 白僵蚕（微炒） 天麻（炙。各半两） 天南
星（一个三两者，炮） 川芎（一两） 附子（一个六钱者，炮） 五灵脂（一两，只用八钱） 乳香（一钱半） 蜈
蚣（二条，酒浸，和蛇头一处浸） 白花蛇头 乌蛇头（各一个，连皮骨酒浸三、四宿） 花蛇（项后由七寸以后一、
二两，和皮，骨，取七钱净肉，连蛇头一处浸） 牛黄 麝香 脑子 没药 血竭 砂（细研。各一钱） 雄雀（一
个，去膈胃，内 砂，用盐泥固济，文武火 ）
上各事特净，为末，绝好酒为丸如弹子大。早晨用酒磨下。治中风瘫痪，大人每服半丸。小儿急慢惊风，
一丸分四服，薄荷酒磨下。

胡黄连 香墨 麝（各一钱） 使君子（三个） 天浆子（七个，炒） 青黛 腻粉（各一分） 寒食面（一匙匕。
若是一百五日好）
上为末，用上件面为丸小豆大。每服一丸，金银薄荷汤化下。
《庄氏家传》虎睛丸 治小儿急慢惊风涎，实壮、实热。
朱砂（一分，别研） 铅白霜 白僵蚕（末） 真珠末（各炒一钱） 轻粉 牛黄 犀角（屑） 青黛 乳香 胡
黄连 白附子 香墨（烧。各一钱秤） 脑 麝（各秤半钱）
上件捣，罗为末，研令极细，以糯米饭为丸如梧桐子大。若急惊，以薄荷汤蜜水化下；若慢惊，用乳香薄
荷汤化下；心神烦躁，膈实喘粗，用轻粉龙脑水化下；若痫，用薄荷自然汁、金银汤化下；天 惊，水煎荆
芥薄荷汤化下。若有上件患，每服一丸；若常服，一丸分作四丸，薄荷汤化下。
《庄氏家传》四味散惊丸 治急慢惊风。
腻粉 滑石 青黛 乳香（各等分）
Grind the above eleven medicinal materials into fine powder. Soak Chan Su (Toad Venom) in decoction to form pills the size of *Semen Juglandis* (Walnut Seed). For children under three years old, administer one pill; for children aged five to ten, administer two pills. Use a decoction of *Flos Lonicerae Japonicae* (Honeysuckle) and *Herba Menthae* (Mint), grind seven times on each side, and force-feed. For children prone to fright, administer half a pill.
**Jubao Fang (Treasure Collection Formula): Shengjiang Wan (Ginger Pill)**
Indicated for pediatric deficiency wind, acute and chronic convulsive disorders (*Ji Man Jing Feng*), spasms, stiffness and tension of the neck tendons, cold extremities, and rigidity of the waist and back.
Ingredients: *Scolopendra* (Centipede) (one, soaked in wine overnight), dried *Scorpio* (Scorpion) (seven whole), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Silkworm Moth) (ten), *Bai Jiang Can* (White Stiff Silkworm) (straight ones), *Cinnabar* (Zhu Sha) (each one fen, ground), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing), *Radix Bupleuri* (Bai Fu Zi - Note: Text says Bai Fu Zi, usually Aconitum or Bupleurum depending on context, here likely *Rhizoma Typhonii* based on common pairing with Tian Nan Xing, but keeping literal translation as per instruction to keep names), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (Dang Men Zi, each one piece), Mint heart (seven), *Borneolum Syntheticum* (Long Nao) (ground), *Hydrargyrum* (Shui Yin) (formed into sand-like grains, each one qian), *Fructus Ziziphi Spinosae* (Ji Gang Zi) (twenty, stir-fried).
Grind the above twelve ingredients into fine powder, mix evenly, and blend with Petroleum Jelly (Shi Nao You) to form a paste. Wrap individually. Take one pill the size of *Setaria Italica* (Millet) each time, taken with cold water. Must be administered before onset; three doses are guaranteed effective.
**Jubao Fang: Shuipi San (Sleep Spleen Powder)**
Indicated for pediatric acute and chronic convulsive disorders.
Ingredients: *Ovum Mantidis* (Sang Piao Xiao) (four), dried *Herba Menthae* (Mint), dried *Scorpio* (Scorpion) (whole), *Radix Ginseng* (Ren Shen), dried *Rhizoma Dioscoreae* (Shan Yao), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (processed), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia) (soaked in ginger juice, dried, each one fen).
Grind the above seven ingredients into fine powder. Take half a qian each time, taken with Moschus and millet drink.
**Jubao Fang: Yurui Wan (Jade Stamen Pill)**
Indicated for pediatric acute and chronic convulsive disorders.
Ingredients: *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (peeled, navel removed), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia) (navel removed), *Bai Jiang Can* (White Stiff Silkworm) (straight ones, each half liang), *Ding Fen* (Lead Carbonate), *Nifen* (Calomel), *Hydrargyrum* (Shui Yin) (with Nifen, half qian each, ground).
Grind the above six ingredients into powder, mix evenly, and make pills with glutinous rice porridge, size of *Semen Juglandis*. For Head Wind, Brain-Clamping Wind, dizziness, vertigo, and excessive salivation, chew and swallow two pills with Mint and腊 Tea (Preserved Tea); if purgation is needed, increase to five pills. For Acute Wind, take ten pills with Mint wine, until bowel movement occurs. For Women's Blood Wind, take two pills with Schizonepeta wine. For pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, dissolve one to two pills in a decoction of Honeysuckle, Mint, and Glutinous Rice. Effective.
**Jubao Fang: Qingjin Dan (Green Gold Pellet)**
Calms pediatric acute and chronic convulsive disorders; divine efficacy.
Ingredients: *Fructus Quisqualis* (Shi Jun Zi) (two, mixed with one spoonful of white flour to make a cake, wrapped entirely, baked until flour is cooked, remove flour to get kernel), *Aloe* (Luo Hui) (one fen, ground), *Indicum* (Qing Dai), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (each one qian), *Nifen* (Calomel), White Flour (each three qian), *Scorpio* and *Ovum Mantidis* (Xie Shao) (fourteen).
Grind the above seven ingredients into powder, mix with Ink Stick Water (Xiang Mo Shui) to form pills, making thirty pills. Take one pill each time, dissolved in Mint tea.
**Yujue: Shengyin Wan (Raw Silver Pill) for Acute/Chronic Convulsions**
Ingredients: Raw Silver (half liang; if unavailable, use half liang Hydrargyrum formed into sand), Chen Sha (Cinnabar), *Ferrum Pulveratum* (Tie Fen) (calcined, each half liang), Whole Scorpion, Cicada Slough (Chan Tui) (each fourteen), *Frostum Calomelanos* (Fen Shuang), *Radix et Rhizoma Ephedrae* (Ba Dou) Frost (each two qian).
Grind the above into powder, boil Jujube flesh to make pills size of *Semen Juglandis*. Take one pill each time, dissolved in Ginger-Jujube decoction. For 2-3 year olds, take one or two pills. If smaller pills are desired, make them millet-sized, take three to five pills.
**Another Formula: Wuxijiao Gao (Black Rhinoceros Horn Paste)**
Moves wind, descends phlegm-fluids.
Ingredients: Jujubes (three, pitted, insert three Ba Dou seeds into each, prick with needle, roast over fire until charred but preserved), Sha (Arsenic Trioxide?), *Calomelas* (Qing Fen) (one qian bi), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) (calcined), Ink Stick (Xiang Mo) (burned, each one qian), *Frostum Calomelanos* (Fen Shuang) (half qian bi), *Radix Kansui* (Gan Sui) (half qian, roasted), Hydrargyrum Sand (Er qian).
Grind the above into powder, refine honey to make paste. Adjust dose by bean size, dissolve in Mint water. Assess deficiency/excess; do not take outside scheduled times.
**Sishibahou: Daqing Dan (Great Blue Pellet)**
Ingredients: *Rhizoma Gastrodiae* (Tian Ma), *Hydrargyrum* (Shui Yin) (only ground), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (processed), *Ferrum Pulveratum* (Tie Fen), *Rhizoma Typhonii* (Bai Fu Zi), Sha, Good Ink, *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Jiang Can) (above each one qian), Gold Leaf (Wu Pian), Silver Leaf (Qi Pian), *Calomelas* (Qing Fen) (half qian).
Black Prepared Aconite Root (Hei Fu Zi), Whole Scorpion (bran fried), *Frostum Calomelanos* (Fen Shuang) (each two qian), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia) (ginger juice soaked, eighteen pieces), Long Nao (Borneol), *Moschus* (She Xiang), Realgar (Xiong Huang) (wine-boiled, each three qian), *Scolopendra* (Wu Gong) (one strip, washed in salt water, head/legs removed).
Grind all above into powder, make pills with wine paste, size of *Semen Juglandis*. Take one pill each time, ground down with Mint-Honey water. For acute/chronic convulsions and epilepsy, adjust according to child's age. For ordinary tidal fever, fright fever, wind fever, warm febrile disease, or developmental fever (Bian Zheng), one pill can be divided into two doses. Contraindicated in Shanghan (Cold Damage). For convulsions, spasms, and upward gaze, use Hetou Dan (Crane Top Pellet).
**Huiyan Guanzheng: Tangwan (Decoction Pills)**
Descends phlegm-fluids. Indicated for acute/chronic convulsions, Shanghan with vomiting/reversal, high fever, constipation/inability to urinate, abdominal distension, false fullness, thirst/drinking, intestinal parasites attacking the heart, red-and-white dysentery, fright obstruction, cholera with vomiting/diarrhea, Spleen Wind, etc.
Ingredients: *Borneolum Syntheticum* (Long Nao), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (each one zi), *Indicum* (Qing Dai) (stir-fried, powdered, scoop three qian half), *Carpodacus* (Bai Ding Xiang) (stir-fried, powdered, scoop three qian), *Hydrargyrum*, *Calomelas*, *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (stir-fried, powdered), *Talcum* (Hua Shi) (stir-fried, powdered, each scoop two qian), *Radix et Rhizoma Ephedrae* (Ba Dou) (thirty-six seeds, soaked peeled, pounded rotten, wrapped in paper to remove oil, then pounded again).
Grind and mix evenly, add Ba Dou frost, continue grinding 300-400 times. Pour out, then grind Long Nao and She Xiang. Add previous medicines, grind all together. Pour out, add a little rice paste; if too hard, add a few drops of water to make it soft and uniform, then form pills of this size ○. One year old: 15 pills; Two years old: 20 pills; Three-four years old: 25 pills; Five-six years old: 32 pills. Others adjust by age and deficiency/excess. For intestinal parasites attacking heart, use twenty-one processed Sophora pods, wrap and pound, decoct and take; for red-white dysentery, decoct small fish and take; other conditions take with Scallion White decoction. Eat from first watch to dawn, passing green-white sticky phlegm. When others eat, first replenish with light congee, then administer Yunqi San. Avoid raw/hard food for two days, continue this medicine. If phlegm not fully discharged, do not drink water. For acute convulsions, just crush and take this medicine, will also vomit phlegm; for chronic convulsions, on day 2 or 3, tonify spleen qi, then take this medicine to suppress phlegm. No specific timing required.
**Liu Family Inherited Formula: Zhusha Gao (Cinnabar Paste)**
Indicated for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, adult wind madness, restless wind-phlegm epilepsy, Shanghan wind-stroke, stiff tongue with wind-phlegm.
Ingredients: Peach Kernels (Tao Ren) (soaked in hot water twice, peel/remove tips, bran-fried dry, one liang, pounded rotten), True Red Flower Heads (Hong Hua) (half liang, dried, powdered), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) (ground), Dripping Milk (Di Ru) (ground, each three qian).
Grind together extremely fine, add one qian Moschus, grind again, refine honey to make pills. Take one pill the size of a cocklebur each time, decoct half cup Mint tea, dissolve and take with dregs. Also acceptable with Ginseng decoction or tea, or suck/melt in mouth.
**Liu Family Inherited Formula: Congtang Wan (Scallion Decoction Pill) for Acute/Chronic Convulsions**
Ingredients: *Talcum* (Hua Shi) (powdered, one qian half), *Rhizoma Typhonii* (Bai Fu Zi) (half raw half processed, one qian), *Calomelas* (Qing Fen) (picked, one qian), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (half raw half processed, use one qian half), *Radix et Rhizoma Ephedrae* (Ba Dou) (seven seeds, remove oil, pound rotten on paper, place on stone slab, bake dry with fire), Scorpion Tail (Xie Shao) (half qian).
Grind into powder, mix with steamed bread dough to form pills size of Green Hemp Seeds. Take three pills each time; seven years and older take seven pills; under one month take one pill. For heat accumulation, dissolve in Honeysuckle-Mint decoction; for fright accumulation, dissolve in Scallion decoction, naturally expelling fright accumulation.
**Liu Family Inherited Formula: Ruan Qing Gao (Soft Blue Paste)**
Indicated for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, spasms, onset of disease, and all fright accumulations, descending phlegm-fluids.
Ingredients: *Indicum* (Qing Dai) (two qian), *Calomelas* (Qing Fen) (picked, two large qian bi), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (processed, powdered, one qian), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (one large qian bi), *Resina Propolis* (Ru Xiang) (size of Sophora pod), Scorpion Tail (Xie Shao) (fourteen, whole), *Hydrargyrum* (Shui Yin) (formed into silver sand, size of Sophora pod).
Grind together evenly, blend with Petroleum Jelly (Shi Nao You) to form paste, wrap in oiled paper. If sick, take one pill size of Mung Bean, dissolve in Mint water. Severe cases, no more than two doses, alternate with Yiyi San.
**Liu Family Inherited Formula: Yiyiren San (Coix Seed Powder)**
Indicated for pediatric fright-epilepsy and other diseases.
Ingredients: *Semen Coicis* (Yiyi Ren), *Ramulus Taxilli* (Sang Jisheng), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Bai Jiang Can), Scorpion Tail (Xie Shao), *Radix Ginseng* (Ren Shen) (each one qian), Borneol and Moschus (Long Mu) (small amount each).
Grind into powder. Take one zi each time, taken with Schizonepeta decoction.
**Liu Family Inherited:** Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, efficacy like spirit. Baosheng Dan:
Ingredients: *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (processed), *Rhizoma Typhonii* (Bai Fu Zi) (processed), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) (separately ground), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (separately ground, each half liang), Snake Yellow (She Huang) (four, produced on Chen earth, iron-colored, grind with Catalpa leaves, coat with natural juice, fire-roast until fully red, sprinkle with Raw Licorice water to remove fire toxicity, grind extremely fine).
Process as above, use tips of Zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) from three families on Dragon Boat Festival to form pills size of *Semen Juglandis*. Dissolve one pill in Light Bamboo Sap (Dan Zhu Li) and take. This formula is sacred, do not slight it; one pill can save a person. Also treats various diseases in men and women, take two pills chewed with Mint wine. **Zhang Family Inherited:** Dissolve two pills in Bamboo Sap. Also **Zhang Family Inherited Formula:** Also treats sudden stroke in men/women, phlegm-turbidity with inability to speak, eyes rolling up, trembling limbs, paralysis, inability to move limbs, dizziness, vertigo, deviation of mouth and eyes, hidden wind, five epilepsies. Only *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) should be processed in calcined lime until cracked, remove lime, sprinkle water on ground, cover with bowl to remove fire toxicity for one hour. After taking medicine, avoid all wind-moving foods; rest same as above.
**Liu Family Inherited: Ruan Hong Wan (Soft Red Pill)**
Indicated for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, fright-epilepsy with phlegm-turbidity, spasms, fixed gaze, locked jaw, neck/back stiffness, wheezing/coughing, excessive sleep, intermittent fever.
Ingredients: Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) (calcined ground), Borneol (Long Nao) (separately ground, each one fen), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia) (prepared as before), Beeswax (Huang La) (each three qian), *Frostum Calomelanos* (Fen Shuang) (two qian), *Hydrargyrum* (Shui Yin) (one qian, add three gold leaf pieces, form sand), Cow Bezoar (Niu Huang), *Nifen* (Calomel) (each half qian), Scorpion Tail (Xie Shao) (forty-nine pieces, lightly fried).
Pound and grind all extremely fine. First refine wax, remove dregs, add three to five drops of oil, remove from fire, add medicines, mix evenly to form dough. Make pills size of Millet grain as needed. Half-year-old infant can take two to three pills, taken with Schizonepeta-Mint decoction. Adjust dosage by age/size, stop when cured.
Also **Zhang Family Inherited:** Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, cannot be detailed, Duoming Dan (Life-Snatching Pellet, aka Tongtian Zaizao Dan):
Ingredients: True Cow Bezoar (Niu Huang), Chan Su (Toad Venom), Chen Sha (Cinnabar), *Rhizoma Gastrodiae* (Tian Ma), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (true), Black Snake (Wu She) (true, above each one fen), *Indicum* (Qing Dai), Sweet Descurainia Seed (Tian Ting Li) (lightly fried, each half liang), Monochamus Alternatus (Du Jiao Xian) (one piece, remove legs, keep wings), *Ovum Mantidis* (Sang Piao Xiao), Ye Xing Jiang Jun (Scorpion) (each ten pieces), True Borneol (Zhen Nao) (small amount).
Grind into powder, finely grind in mortar, make pills with Pig Gallbladder Juice size of Yellow Rice Grain. For acute/chronic convulsions, hot weather, dissolve one pill in new water decoction of Mint and Honeysuckle. If child is critically ill and cannot swallow, drip small amount into nose; after sneezing, immediately force-feed. Ten out of ten successes, divine efficacy.
**Zhang Family Inherited:** Treatment for Head Wind, Heishen Wan (Black Divine Pill) (also treats pediatric convulsions).
Ingredients: Aconite Root (Wu Tou), Grass Aconite (Ca Wu) (both processed, peeled), *Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong* (Chuan Xiong), Fragrant Angelica Root (Xiang Baizhi), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Bai Jiang Can), *Radix Notopterygii* (Qiang Huo), *Radix Glycyrrhizae* (Gan Cao), *Resina Liquidambaris* (Ling Zhi) (cleanly washed).
Above each one liang, process and wash, roast together, grind to powder.
Good Ink (Hao Mo) (one cun, grind with medicine), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (one zi).
Grind all together into fine powder, use two liang Glutinous Rice ground to powder, boil to paste to form pills of this size ○, dry in shade. Administration: Head wind, chew one pill with tea water; Shanghan, chew one pill with Ginger, Scallion, Tea; sores on body, chew one pill with Honey Wine; Intestinal Wind/Hemorrhoids, decoct Walnut Wine, chew one pill; Women's Blood Qi/Blood Wind, chew one pill with Angelica Decoction; Pediatric convulsions, grind with Mint water, divide one pill into two doses; Headache, chew one pill with Chrysanthemum Wine; Elderly daily use, chew one pill with good Wine.
**Zhang Family Inherited:** Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, also treats 160 types of wind, spontaneous body shaking, hemiplegia, accumulated phlegm causing dizziness, sores/itching.
Ingredients: *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (processed, peeled), *Nifen* (Calomel) (use half to mix with powder, reserve half to coat pills), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia) (remove heart/skin), Southern Powder (Nan Fen) (each half liang), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Bai Jiang Can), Dried Scorpion (Gan Xie), *Moschus* (She Xiang) (each one fen), Borneol (Long Nao) (one qian).
All eight ingredients used raw, pound in windless place, sieve to powder, boil Glutinous Rice Porridge, cool, mix with medicine, form pills size of *Semen Juglandis*. Take two pills each time, chew and take with warm wine. For acute wind, locked jaw, facial deviation, grind three pills, mix with Mint wine, insert into nose using Scallion green tube; after moment sweating, jaw opens naturally. For Shanghan, take two pills with Mint Hot Wine, repeat after a while, cured. Women's Blood Qi, prenatal/postnatal, paralysis, wind-disease, take two pills with Angelica Wine. Pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, dissolve one pill in Cow Bezoar Decoction, enter mouth and cured immediately.
**Zhang Family Inherited:** Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions. Tijng Wan (Sneeze Fright Pill):
Ingredients: Cow Bezoar (Niu Huang), Aloe (Luo Hui), Bear Bile (Xiong Dan) (each size of Sophora pod), Raw Chan Su (Toad Venom) (from between eyebrows, ten usable), Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) (size of Sophora pod), Borneol/Moschus (Long Mu) (each half Sophora pod size), Realgar (Xiong Huang) (five qian), Whole Scorpion (Quan Xie) (half liang, lightly fried), Alum (Bai Fan) (calcined), *Radix Saposhnikoviae* (Fang Feng) (roasted), *Flos Schizonepetae* (Jingjie Sui) (each one liang).
Except Borneol/Moschus, grind others together finely. Then separately grind Borneol/Moschus finely, add to previous mix, grind again. Use Chan Su, add a few grains of Rice, mix evenly, form pills size of Mustard Seed. Take one pill each time, dissolve with Reverse Flowing Water. If child has limb twitching/spasms, instill into nose; after long while, sneeze and cured. If not settled, instill again. If sneezes three times and still bad, it is evil condition, use other medicine. For rash turning inward/black spots, urgently use Egg Shell holding half shell Wine, half shell Raw Pig Blood, combine in one shell, dissolve two-three pills inside, warm in fire ash, take occasionally. Collect Chan Su on Dragon Boat Day to mix, very effective.
**Zhang Family Inherited: Fansao Wan (Alum-Sophora Pill)**
Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions phlegm, removing wind-phlegm, clearing chest, daily use prevents phlegm disease forever. Excellent formula.
Ingredients: Northern Alum (Bei Fan) (one liang half, if none, Southern Alum works, fire-calcined), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia) (ginger juice soaked overnight, dried), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (sliced, soaked in strong Sophora water overnight, slow-fire boiled until dry, dried), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Bai Jiang Can) (select straight ones, half soaked in vinegar overnight, half raw, each half liang).
Grind and sieve all into powder, Ginger Juice煮糊 (boil paste) to form pills size of *Semen Juglandis*. Take 10-20 pills swallowed with Light Ginger Decoction; for throat obstruction/heat pain, suck/melt, chew rotten, flush with Mint Fresh Water. Severe cases and Throat-Wrapping Wind, grind 10-20 pills in Sophora water (tea foot amount) and instill. Pediatric acute/chronic wind-phlegm, grind Sophora water to brush teeth. Daily use, take with Ginger Decoction after meals/before bed. Does not damage fluids, transforms phlegm to water.
**Zhang Family Inherited:** Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions and Traumatic Tetanus. Zouma Duoming San (Running Horse Life-Snatching Powder):
Ingredients: *Rhizoma Typhonii* (Bai Fu Zi), Black Prepared Aconite (Hei Fu Zi), *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing), *Rhizoma Pinelliae* (Ban Xia).
Equal parts, grind to powder, use raw. Adult take half qian, child take half zi, mix with Scallion-Tea decoction. Adult wind-stroke muteness, pediatric acute/chronic convulsions all applicable.

Ingredients: *Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum* (Tian Nan Xing) (processed), *Rhizoma Typhonii* (Bai Fu Zi), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Bai Jiang Can) (washed, each one qian), White Flower Snake (Baihua She) (three qian, peel/remove bones).
Grind to powder, use Tian Ma powder and small amount White Flour, boil paste to form pills of this size ○. Take one cake each time, coat with Cinnabar, dissolve in Honeysuckle-Mint decoction, any time.
**Zhang Family Inherited:** Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions where medicine failed. Use Shenxiao Tie'ao San (Divine Efficacy Paste for Concave Point):
Ingredients: Stone Swallow (Shi Yan) (two, one qian Vinegar, roast red dry, finely ground), Mugwort Heart Leaf (Ai Xin Ye) (seven), Raw Cinnabar (Sheng Zhu Sha) (one Sophora pod size, finely ground), Castor Seed (Bimazi) (seven, remove shell, finely ground).
Mix all evenly. Use one qian bi each time, mix with Mint Natural Juice to form paste, apply to nasal root concave point. Sleep shortly, when tip of nose sweats, immediately well.

Process each specifically clean, grind to powder, make pills with excellent Wine size of Bullet. Morning take with Wine ground down. For wind-stroke paralysis, adult take half pill. Pediatric acute/chronic convulsions, divide one pill into four doses, take with Mint Wine ground down.

Ingredients: Radix Picrorhizae (Hu Huang Lian), Ink Stick (Xiang Mo), *Moschus* (She) (each one qian), *Fructus Quisqualis* (Shi Jun Zi) (three), Heavenly Pulp Seed (Tian Jiang Zi) (seven, fried), *Indicum* (Qing Dai), *Nifen* (Calomel) (each one fen), Cold Food Noodle (Hanshi Mian) (one spoonful, best if 105 days old).
Grind to powder, use above noodle to form pills size of Small Bean. Take one pill each time, dissolve in Honeysuckle-Mint decoction.
**Zhuang Family Inherited: Hujing Wan (Tiger Eye Pill)**
Treatment for pediatric acute/chronic convulsions phlegm, excess heat/fullness.
Ingredients: Cinnabar (Zhu Sha) (one fen, separately ground), Lead White Frost (Qian Bai Shuang), *Bombyx Batryticatus* (Bai Jiang Can) (powder), Pearl Powder (Zhenzhu Mo) (each stir-fried one qian), *Calomelas* (Qing Fen), Cow Bezoar (Niu Huang), Rhinoceros Horn (Xijiao) (shavings), *Indicum* (Qing Dai), *Resina Propolis* (Ru Xiang), Radix Picrorhizae (Hu Huang Lian), *Rhizoma Typhonii* (Bai Fu Zi), Burnt Ink Stick (Xiang Mo) (burnt, each one qian weighed), Borneol (Nao), *Moschus* (She) (each weighed half qian).
Pound and sieve to powder, grind extremely fine, make pills with Glutinous Rice size of *Semen Juglandis*. If acute convulsion, dissolve in Mint Tea Honey Water; if chronic, dissolve in Resina Propolis Mint Tea; if heart-mind irritability, chest fullness, coarse breathing, dissolve in *Calomelas* Borneol Water; if epilepsy, dissolve in Mint Natural Juice/Honeysuckle Decoction; heavenly heat convulsion, dissolve in Water-decocted Schizonepeta Mint Tea. If having above conditions, take one pill each time; if daily use, divide one pill into four, dissolve in Mint Tea.
**Zhuang Family Inherited: Siwei Sanjing Wan (Four-Ingredient Powder Fright-Calming Pill)**
