This condition arises from extreme heat in early childhood combined with exposure to wind, resulting in a struggle between wind and heat. If not treated early, it may develop into leprosy (Da Feng Ji). Formula:
*Zhishi* (bran-fried, 1.5 liang), *Juhua* (Chrysanthemi Flos), *Shechuangzi* (Cnidii Fructus), *Fangfeng*, *Baiwei* (Cleomidis Radix), *Fuping* (Urticae Herba), *Jili Zi* (Tribuli Fructus) (each 1 liang); *Tianxiong* (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, roasted, cracked, skin and navel removed), *Mahuang* (roots and joints removed), *Lulu* (each 0.5 liang).

For all these conditions, soak and wash with decoction made from *Lianpi* (Meliae Cortex). When taking internal medicine, select branches bearing fruit, known as female branches. One liang of bark can be boiled with fifty grains of glutinous rice to detoxify. If diarrhea occurs, stop it with cold congee; if no diarrhea, induce sweating with hot scallion congee. Branches without fruit are called male branches; they cause vomiting and diarrhea and can be fatal, so do not use them mistakenly.
