Administration: Apply half a "zi" (an ancient unit of weight/measure) of the powder to the affected area.
The *Taiping Shenghui Fang* states: Children's oral and dental "Gan" is caused by heat accumulation in the zang-fu organs and irregular diet, leading to "Gan" worms ascending to erode the mouth and teeth. Symptoms include itching and pain in the lips and mouth, blackening of the teeth, sores on the tongue, dryness and heat in the head, redness and ulceration of the gingiva, swelling of the cheeks and toothache, steaming of heat toxins, and foul breath. Hence it is called oral and dental "Gan."
