凡小儿喘急，关纹浮大，手足温，主外感；关纹淡白，唇白，主虚。外感之喘，发热无
汗，主表实也；有汗而喘者，主表虚也。
五虎汤 治外感无汗而喘。
麻绒（一钱） 杏仁（七粒） 细茶（一撮） 有痰者加二陈汤，即茯苓（二钱） 法夏 广皮（各一钱）
甘草（三分） 姜（一片） 枣（二枚） 水煎服。
三子汤 治气喘胸中紧满作嗄声。
苏子 芥子 莱菔子（各一钱） 不用引，虚者禁用。
八味地黄汤 治喘急久不愈，肾气虚寒。
熟地（五钱） 枣皮 山药 茯苓（各二钱） 粉丹 泽泻（各一钱） 肉桂 附子（各七分） 生姜、
大红枣引，水煎服。
三承气汤 治喘而舌黄，大便坚实者，热邪传里也。
大黄 芒硝 浓朴 枳实（各一钱） 甘草 槟榔 藿香（各七分） 水煎服。
小儿感受风寒邪热入肺，初起疏散，久则滋阴，务察关纹浮暗，神气虚实而治之。
加减参苏饮 治小儿初起咳血，或咳血兼外感者。
紫苏 广皮 桔梗 前胡 广香 当归 茯苓（各一钱） 甘草（五分） 水煎服，吐血童便为
引。
加减清肺汤
茯苓 当归 生地 白芍 紫菀 玉竹 百合 侧柏叶（炒） 桑皮（各一钱） 甘草（五分）
六味地黄汤 治阴虚久咳吐血者，并治小儿手足心热，神气虚损，日清夜烦等症。
熟地（三钱） 怀山药 茯苓 枣皮（各二钱） 粉丹 泽泻（各八分） 吐血者加牛膝一钱。
In cases of infantile wheezing and urgency, if the fingerprint (superficial veins on the radial aspect of the infant's index finger) appears floating and large, with warm hands and feet, it primarily indicates an external contraction; if the fingerprint is pale white and the lips are white, it primarily indicates a deficiency syndrome. For wheezing caused by external contraction, fever without sweating indicates exterior excess syndrome; wheezing with sweating indicates exterior deficiency syndrome.
Wuhu Decoction (Five Tiger Decoction): Treats wheezing due to external contraction characterized by absence of sweat.
Ingredients: Ephedrae Herba processed into velvet (1 qian), Apricodi Semen (7 grains), Fine Tea (a pinch). If phlegm is present, add Erchen Decoction (a basic formula for drying dampness and resolving phlegm, regulating qi and harmonizing the middle), specifically Poria (2 qian), Pinelliae Rhizoma preparatum, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (each 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (3 fen), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (1 slice), Jujubae Fructus (2 pieces). Decoct in water and take orally.
Sanzi Decoction (Three Seeds Decoction): Treats wheezing, tightness and fullness in the chest accompanied by hoarseness.
Ingredients: Perillae Fructus, Brassicae Semen Album, Raphani Fructus (each 1 qian). Do not use a guiding drug; contraindicated in deficiency cases.
Bawei Dihuang Decoction (Eight-Ingredient Rehmannia Root Decoction): Treats persistent wheezing that does not heal, caused by kidney qi deficiency and cold.
Ingredients: Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (5 qian), Corni Fructus, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Poria (each 2 qian), Moutan Cortex, Alismatis Rhizoma (each 1 qian), Cinnamomi Cortex, Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (each 7 fen). Use fresh ginger and large red dates as guiding drugs, decoct in water and take orally.
San Chengqi Decoction (Three Attendant Qi Decoctions): Treats wheezing with yellow tongue coating and firm, hard stools, indicating heat pathogen transmitting inward.
Ingredients: Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, Natrii Sulfas, Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, Immaturus Fruetus Citri Grandis (each 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Arecae Semen, Agastachis Herba (each 7 fen). Decoct in water and take orally.
When infants contract wind-cold and heat pathogens enter the lungs, initial treatment should focus on dispersing the exterior, while long-term treatment requires nourishing yin. One must carefully observe whether the fingerprint is floating and dark, and assess the deficiency or excess of spirit qi to guide treatment.
Jiajian Shenru Yin (Modified Ginseng and Perilla Drink): Treats initial hemoptysis in infants, or hemoptysis accompanied by external contraction.
Ingredients: Perillae Folium, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Platycodonis Radix, Peucedani Radix, Aucklandiae Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Poria (each 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 fen). Decoct in water and take orally; for hematemesis, use urine from healthy children as a guiding drug.
Jiajian Qingfei Tang (Modified Lung-Clearing Decoction)
Ingredients: Poria, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Rehmanniae Radix Recens, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Asteris Radix, Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma, Lilii Bulbus, Platycladi Cacumen (stir-fried), Mori Cortex (each 1 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (5 fen).
Liuwei Dihuang Decoction (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Root Decoction): Treats chronic cough and hemoptysis due to yin deficiency; also treats symptoms in infants such as heat in the palms and soles, depletion of spirit qi, being clear during the day but restless at night.
Ingredients: Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (3 qian), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Huai Shan Yao), Poria, Corni Fructus (each 2 qian), Moutan Cortex, Alismatis Rhizoma (each 8 fen). Add Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (1 qian) for hemoptysis.
