大便不通名锁肚，皆缘热毒受胎中，朱蜜捻金俱可用，急咂五心脐下通。
【注】小儿初生之日或次日即大便者，俗
云下脐屎。此肠胃通和，幽门润泽也。若至二三日不大便者，名曰锁肚，乃胎中受辛热
之毒，气滞不通也。其儿必面赤、腹胀、不乳、多啼，宜先用朱蜜法治之，设若不应，用
一捻金量儿与之。继令妇人以温水漱口，咂儿前后心、手足心并脐下，共七处，以皮见
红赤色为度，须臾大便自通矣。

二便俱秘胎热极，木通散与紫霜丸行热开结真神妙，口嘬之法悉如前。

常作呻吟，则难治矣！

车前子 扁蓄 瞿麦 木通 赤苓 山栀 滑石（飞） 黄芩 生甘草 大黄
引用灯心水煎服，或入薄荷同煎。

紫霜丸
代赭石（火煨醋浸三、五次，研，一两） 赤石脂（一两） 杏仁（炒，去皮尖，六十粒） 巴豆（去
油膜，三十粒）
上研细末，饭糊如麻子大，日服三丸，白水下。
Impassable defecation is named "Suo Du" (Lock Belly), all caused by heat-toxin received in the womb. Zhu Mi (Cinnabar Honey) and Yi Nian Jin (One Pinch Gold) are both applicable; urgently, apply the mouth-sucking method to the Five Centers (Wu Xin) and below the umbilicus to unblock.
[Note] When an infant passes stool on the day of birth or the next day, it is colloquially called "Xia Qi Shi" (Passing Umbilical Stool). This indicates that the intestines and stomach are smooth and harmonious, and the pylorus is moist. If there is no stool for two or three days, it is named "Suo Du" (Lock Belly), resulting from heat-toxin of acrid and hot nature received in the fetus, causing qi stagnation and blockage. The child must present with a red face, abdominal distension, refusal to nurse, and frequent crying. It is appropriate to first use the Zhu Mi method; if ineffective, administer an age-appropriate dose of Yi Nian Jin. Subsequently, have a woman rinse her mouth with warm water and suck the child's anterior and posterior heart areas, palms, soles, and below the umbilicus, totaling seven points, until the skin turns reddish. Shortly thereafter, the stool will pass naturally.

When both urine and stool are blocked, it indicates extreme fetal heat. Mu Tong San (Akebia Decoction) and Zi Shuang Wan (Purple Frost Pill) can move heat and resolve accumulation, truly miraculous; the mouth-sucking method is exactly as described before.
[Note] When an infant cannot pass both urine and stool at birth, it is the most critical condition, formed by excessive heat-toxin in the fetus. Urgently apply the aforementioned mouth-sucking method to the Five Centers and below the umbilicus, then use Mu Tong San to clear heat and Zi Shuang Wan to resolve accumulation, so there is hope for survival. If delayed to seven days, termed "Yi La" (One Lunar Month/Week), with a hard and distended abdomen and constant moaning, it becomes difficult to treat!
Mu Tong San
Plantaginis Semen (Cheqianzi), Polygoni Cuspidati Caulis (Bianxu), Dianthi Herba (Qumai), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong), Poria Cocos with Red Bark (Chiling), Gardeniae Fructus (Shanzhi), Talcum (Huashi, flown), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Recens (Sheng Gancao), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang).
Decoct with Junci Medulla (Dengxin) water, or decoct together with Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe).
[Formula Song] How to treat blocked urine and stool? Mu Tong San is very strange. Cheqian, Bianxu, Qumai, Mutong, Lingzhi, Zhizi, Huashi, Huangqin, Gancao, Dahuang are suitable.
Zi Shuang Wan
Haematitum (Daizheshi, calcined, soaked in vinegar 3-5 times, ground, 1 liang), Halloysit Rubra (Chishizhi, 1 liang), Armeniacae Semen Amarum (Xingren, stir-fried, peel and tip removed, 60 grains), Crotonis Fructus (Badou, oil membrane removed, 30 grains).
Grind all into fine powder, mix with rice paste to make pills the size of hemp seeds. Take three pills daily, washed down with plain water.
