[Xue Ji] Infantile yellow fluid sticky sores are caused by wind-heat and accumulated heat in the Liver and Spleen meridians. If the pathogen is at the exterior presenting with pain and itching, for mild cases use Xijiao Xiaodu San (Rhino Horn Detoxification Powder), and for severe cases use Lianqiao Fangfeng Tang (Forsythia and Saposhnikovia Decoction). If the pathogen is at the interior presenting with constipation, for mild cases use Jiuwei Jiedu San (Nine-Ingredient Detoxification Powder), and for severe cases use Da Lianqiao Yin (Large Forsythia Drink). If there is cloudiness of the head and eyes, aversion to cold with high fever, thirst, and constipation, it indicates pathogens in both the interior and exterior; use Jiawei Qingliang Yin (Modified Cooling Drink). If mistakenly administered with harsh purgative drugs leading to fever and aversion to cold, this indicates injury to Lung Qi; use Sijunzi Tang (Four Gentlemen Decoction), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), and Chaihu (Bupleurum Root). If there is fever and vomiting, this indicates injury to Stomach Qi; use Yigong San (Extraordinary Power Powder). If there is fever and diarrhea, this indicates deficiency of Spleen Qi; use Liujunzi Tang (Six Gentlemen Decoction), adding Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) and Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma).
