Jiang (Right) Previously suffered from metrorrhagia, leading to a deficiency of Ying-Blood, which failed to nourish the Liver. Consequently, Liver Wood overacts on Spleen Earth. There is occasional diarrhea, Qi stagnation and discomfort below the umbilicus, phlegm nodules accumulating in the joints of the four limbs, a sensation of obstruction in the throat, palpitations, and leukorrhea. The pulse is deficient and wiry; the center of the tongue is peeled and glossy. This indicates Kidney Water deficiency with exuberant Liver Wood, weak Spleen Earth, and strong Liver Qi. Nourishing Blood and softening the Liver is the fundamental treatment approach.
