Another method: Burn soap pods (Zaojiao) in a bucket to generate smoke, and have the patient sit on the bucket to fumigate the perineum. This will immediately restore patency. (Source: *Jiyao Fang*)
For men and women with acute retention of both urine and feces, in imminent danger: Take ten snails (Tianluo), seven stalks of scallion whites (Congbai), five fen of musk (Shexiang), and a small amount of calomel (Qingfen). Honey Suppository Method: Take six or seven liang of white honey (Bami), refine until thick, dense, and yellowish, such that a drop solidifies upon cooling. Add salt and powder from soap pod teeth (Zaoya), each five fen, and mix well. Quickly pour into cold water and roll into strips about the thickness of a finger, making three or four pieces.
