Flash injury of the neck and waist: Use borax (Borax) ground into powder. Dip a bone hairpin in saliva to moisten the powder, then apply it to both eyes. When tears flow, the tension will slightly relax. Apply three times continuously for immediate and complete recovery. (*Quansheng Ji*)
Treatment for flash injury of the waist: Agarwood (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, Muxiang, 木香) [1 qian] and Musk (Moschus, Shexiang, 麝香) [3 fen], ground together into a fine powder. If pain is on the right side, blow the powder into the left nostril; if on the left, blow into the right nostril. The patient should massage their hands up and down along the body. (*Yizong Shuoyue*)
Flash injury of hands and feet resulting in cyanosis and swelling: Herba Clematidis (Clematis Root, Weilingxian, 威灵仙) and Cortex Viticis Negundinis (Vitalign Bark, Zijingpi, 紫荆皮). Decoct these two herbs and wash the affected area with the liquid; the cyanosis and swelling will recede immediately, and pain will cease. (*Chishui Xuanzhu*)
Fracture, flash injury, and bone setting: Radix Dipsaci (Dipsacus Root, Xuduan, 续断) and leaves of Guaiacum officinale or similar "bone-setting grass" (Jiegucao Ye, 接骨草叶), pounded into a paste and applied to the injured site. Immediate effect. (*Weisheng Yijian Fang*)
Various flash injuries: For any flash injury of the waist, contusion, sprain, or limb injury where there is no bleeding but internal cyanosis and bruising are present, first pound scallion white parts (Congbai, 葱白), stir-fry until hot, and rub thoroughly over the painful area. Then, apply a paste made from Rhubarb (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, Dashuang, 生大黄) powder mixed with ginger juice. Drink as much good-quality wine as possible. This method is miraculous even for injuries persisting for three months or half a year. (*Mifang Jiyuan*)
Fracture: One water badger (Lutra lutra, Shuita, 水獭), dismembered, placed in a jar, sealed tightly, and dried. Retain its medicinal nature and grind into powder. Cook millet porridge, spread it on the affected area, sprinkle the badger powder onto the porridge, and wrap with cloth. Pain stops immediately. (*Jingyan Danfang*)
Skull fracture and brain injury: Mix honey with scallion white parts, pound evenly, and apply thickly. Immediate effect. (*Huaidesai Mi*)

Bone setting for fractures: Ash from broken shoe soles worn by beggars in the market (one pair), roasted fine wheat flour (both in equal proportions), mixed with good vinegar to form a paste.
