Pound green onion and ginger into a paste. Add *Dan Hong* (Yellow Lead Oxide, Hanguang) to form pills the size of a bean. Take one pill per dose, insert it into the umbilicus, and cover with a plaster; diarrhea will stop immediately.
Another method: Stir-fry white flour until charred and collect the scorched rice from the bottom of the cooking pot. Urgently instruct the mother to rinse her mouth and then suck on seven specific areas: the chest front, the back, the flexures of the hands and feet, and below the umbilicus. The skin should turn red; circulation will clear up shortly.
Grind three grains of *Hu Jiao* (Black Pepper, Piperis Nigris Fructus) into powder. Mix evenly with sugar to form pills. On the day before malaria onset, insert into the umbilicus and cover with a plaster to allow the medicinal energy to disperse outward. Remove the next day.
Boil three or four leaves of *Wu Tong Ye* (Firmiana Simplex Leaf, Firmianae Folium) in water to wash the feet. Three to five treatments are sufficient for recovery.
For symptoms of inability to eat: Grind one kernel of *Ba Dou Ren* (Croton Seed, Crotonis Fructus) and a small amount of *She Xiang* (Musk, Moschus) into a pill. Apply to the glabella (between the eyebrows); recovery occurs when the tongue turns red or crimson.
(This formula treats pediatric jaundice, anorexia, limb fatigue, cold sweats, night fever, abdominal distension, and abdominal pain. Regular use can cure various diseases.)
Take *Ren Shen* (Ginseng Root, Ginseng Radix), *Huang Lian* (Coptis Rhizome, Coptidis Rhizoma) stir-fried with ginger juice, *Shen Qu* (Medicated Leaven, Massae Medicatae Fermentatae), *Mai Ya* (Sprouted Hordeum, Hordei Fructus Germinatus), *Shan Zha* (Hawthorn Fruit, Crataegi Fructus), *Bai Zhu* (Atractylodes Rhizome, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) earth-fried (each 7 qian), *Fu Ling* (Poria, Poria), and *Zhi Gan Cao* (Prepared Licorice Root, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Preparata) baked through with rice bran.
Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Use rice paste from four- to five-year-old aged rice as a binder to form pills, each weighing 1 qian. Administer after meals.
To treat infants who refuse weaning: Take three *Shan Zhi* (Gardenia Fruit, Gardeniae Fructus) preserved by charring (keeping their nature), a small amount of *Xiong Huang* (Realgar, Realgar), a small amount of *Zhu Sha* (Cinnabar, Cinnabaris), a small amount of *Qing Fen* (Calomel, Hydrargyri Chloridum Venenum), and 1 qian of *Dan Hong* (Yellow Lead Oxide, Hanguang) powder.
Grind into powder. Mix evenly with raw sesame oil. While the infant is asleep and unaware, draw lines above both eyebrows with a new brush. The infant will cease breastfeeding the next day.
To treat wind-cold injury and carbuncles/toxins. For early-stage boils/toxins, retain the head/pustule during application.
Take 3 liang of *Chuan Wu* (Aconite Lateralis Radix Praeparata), 3 liang of *Cao Wu* (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix), 4 liang of *Chuan Bei Zi* (Fritillaria Bulb, Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus), 3 liang of *Nao Yang Hua* (Rhododendron Flower, Rhododendri Mollis Flos), 6 liang of *Da Huang* (Rhubarb Root, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), 4 liang of *Xue Yu* (Human Hair Carbonisatus), [missing character likely *Sheng Nan Xing*] (Raw Arisaema Tuber, Arisaematis Rhizoma), 4 liang of *Tu Bei Mu* (Fritillaria Cirrhosa Bulb, Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus), and *Jin Yin Hua* (Honeysuckle Flower, Lonicerae Japonicae Flos).
Soak the above herbs in 5 jin of sesame oil for three days. Boil until the herbs are withered, remove dregs, and filter cleanly. Add 40 liang of *Hong Dan* (Red Lead, Lithargyrum) to form a plaster. Soak in water to remove fire toxicity. Apply freely as needed.
