[Houjiang Wan (Monkey Ginger Pill)]
Take dozens of *jin* (approx. 500g) of fresh *Houttuynia cordata* (remove hairs, wash clean, dry surface moisture, pound into a paste, and squeeze out the juice for use), 1 *jin* 2 *liang* of *Yuanzhi Rou* (Polygalae Radix flesh, selecting plump pieces), decoct 4 *liang* of *Gancao* (Licorice Root), and 3 *jin* of *Shouwu* (Polygoni Multiflori Radix)... [text missing]. The above five ingredients are processed according to the specified methods and ground into fine powder. Use black date flesh as a binder to form pills, sized like paulownia seeds. Take 3 *qian* in the morning and evening, administered with salt water. Long-term consumption calms the spirit.

[Jiu Zhi Niuxi Baozhen Wan (Nine-Processed Achyranthes Bidentata Pill Preserving Truth)]
*Niuxi* (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (remove head and tail, total 3 *jin*), divided into nine portions for processing.
Portion 1: Use 1 *liang* each of *Buguzhi* (Psoraleae Fructus) and *Baji Rou* (Morinda officinalis flesh), along with 3 *jin* of yellow wine. Decoct until reduced to 1.5 *jin*. Soak the *Niuxi* in the liquid, mix thoroughly, and sun-dry until the liquid is fully absorbed.
Portion 2: Use 1 *liang* each of *Chuanjiao* (Zanthoxylis Pericarpium) and *Gouji* (Cibotii Rhizoma). Decoct with wine using the same method as above.
Portion 3: Use 3 *liang* of *Rongshen* (Cynomorii Herba), wash clean, remove scales, and process using the same method.
Portion 4: Use 1.5 *liang* each of *Shechuangzi* (Cnidii Fructus) and *Fupenzi* (Rubi Fructus), and process using the same method.
Portion 5: Use 4 *liang* each of *Zixiaohua* (Coralli Rubri Spica) and *Tiangdong* (Asparagi Radix), and process using the same method.
Portion 6: Use 1 *liang* each of *Wujia Pi* (Acanthopanacis Cortex) and *Tusizi* (Cuscutae Semen), and process using the same method.
Portion 7: Use 1 *liang* each of *Shudi* (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) and *Wuweizi* (Schisandrae Fructus), and process using the same method.
Portion 8: Use two pieces of *Tianxiong* (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata), slice them, and decoct ten bowls of child's urine down to two bowls. Mix with the *Niuxi* and sun-dry, following the previous method.
Portion 9: Decoct 1 *liang* of *Xiaohui* (Foeniculi Fructus) to obtain one bowl of juice. Grind 1 *liang* of *Lurong Xuejian* (Cornu Cervi Nang cum Sanguine tip) into powder. Add this powder to the *Xiaohui* juice, mix with the *Niuxi*, and sun-dry.
Grind all nine processed portions together into a fine powder. Use 4 *liang* of walnut meat (peeled and pounded into a paste), add refined honey, and form pills sized like paulownia seeds. [Kanli Jiji Wan (Kan and Li Mutual Attainment Pill)]
Indicated for patients under forty years of age suffering from Yin deficiency causing hyperactive fire, approaching the stage of consumptive disease (*Laozai*).
*Danggui* (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (6 *liang*), *Chuanxiong* (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (1 *liang*), *Baishao* (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (3 *liang*), *Shudi* (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata, steamed with wine), *Shengdi* (Rehmanniae Radix), *Tiandong* (Asparagi Radix, heart removed), *Maidong* (Ophiopogonis Radix, heart removed) (each 4 *liang*), *Wuweizi* (Schisandrae Fructus), *Shanyao* (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) (each 3 *liang*), *Shanzhuyu* (Corni Fructus), *Niuxi* (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix) (each 4 *liang*), *Guijiao* (Colla Corii Asini, 3 *liang, melted with wine), *Zhimu* (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, 2 *liang, stir-fried with salt water), *Huangbai* (Phellodendri Cortex) (9 *liang total: 3 *liang* stir-fried with honey water, 3 *liang* stir-fried with wine, 3 *liang* stir-fried with salt water... Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Form pills with refined honey. Take 3 *qian* per dose on an empty stomach with salt water. For those over forty, reduce the dosage of *Huangbai*.
