For men, women, children, and postpartum mothers, in cases of all deficiency syndromes where sudden profuse sweating occurs and cannot be stopped by various medicines, it is due to the open state of the Xuanku (sweat pores), which are difficult to close temporarily, thus making oral medication ineffective. First, apply a small cake made from powder of *Galla Chinensis* (Wubeizi) mixed with vinegar to the umbilicus, securing it with cloth. Then, burn old palm-leaf fans to ash, mix thoroughly with a large amount of glutinous rice flour, place in a linen bag, and gently pat over the entire body from head to toe. This allows the powder to enter the hair follicles, causing the Xuanku to close naturally, stopping the deficiency sweating. This is a miraculous treatment.

To treat pediatric hernia with swelling and pain: Use *Litchi Semen* (Lizhihe), stir-fried until charred, 5 qian; *Foeniculum Vulgare* fruit (Dahuixiang), wine-stir-fried, 2.5 qian. Grind together into a fine powder. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine.

Another prescription: For any hernia or qi pain in children, men, or women, use 49 seeds of *Litchi Semen* (Lizhihe), stir-fried until charred but retaining the white interior; *Citrus Reticulatae Pericarpium* (Chenpi), 9 qian; *Sulfur* (Shengliuhuang), 4 qian. Grind into powder. Mix with rice paste prepared using salt water to form pills the size of mung beans. When pain occurs, take on an empty stomach: crush 9 pills and administer with water. After some time, take another dose. Recovery is usually achieved within three doses.

For pediatric kidney swelling, hardness, and pain: Use equal parts of *Canarium Album* seed (Ganlanhe), *Litchi Semen* (Lizhihe), and *Crataegus Pinnatifida* seed (Shanzhahhe). Calcine them to retain their medicinal properties, grind into powder. Take 1 qian per dose on an empty stomach, administered with decoction of *Foeniculum Vulgare* fruit (Xiaohuixiang).

For pediatric hernia pain: Use *Scorpio* (Quanxie) in any quantity, stir-fried until charred and ground into powder. Take 3 fen per dose, administered with decoction of *Foeniculum Vulgare* fruit (Xiaohuixiang).

For pediatric cold hernia with pain and scrotal edema: Remove the core of *Melia Toosendan* Fructus (Chuanshouzi), 5 qian; *Evodiae Fructus* (Wuzhuyu), 2.5 qian. Stir-fry and grind into powder. Mix with dough made using wine to form pills the size of adzuki beans. Take 10 pills per dose, dissolved and administered with salt water.

When pediatric hernia has persisted for a long time, resulting in a hard scrotum like stone, known as "Wood Kidney" (Mushen): Use *Trichosanthes Kirilowii* fruit (Gualou) including peel and seeds, 2 qian; *Long Pepper Fruit* (Bibo), 2 qian; *Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens* (Shengjiang), 2 qian; *Allium Fistulosum* white part (Congbai), 2 qian. Decoct in wine, drink while hot, cover with blankets, lie warm, and induce sweating for efficacy.

If a child sits on wet ground or if an earthworm blows upon the testicles causing swelling and hanging down: Soak and wash with salt water. Alternatively, wash with decoction of *Atractylodes Macrocephala* Rhizome (Cangzhu) with a little salt added. Or, use one duck, place a chopstick across its beak so it holds the scrotum, blow air to drip saliva onto it for effect. For penile swelling and pain, decoct *Junci Medulla* (Dengcao) and drink frequently; swelling will subside and pain will cease.

When ulcers and damp rot appear on the pediatric scrotum, termed "Scrotal Ulceration" (Tuonang): Apply finely powdered *Perilla Frutescens* leaf (Zisu) and cover with lotus leaves. Or, soften main lotus leaves with heat and wrap them; even if the testes are exposed, it can be treated. For scrotal swelling and pain, decoct 1 liang of *Cicadae Periostracum* (Chantui) for washing, then apply mashed *Perilla Frutescens* leaf (Zisu) as a poultice for cure. For pediatric external genitalia odor, recurrent dampness and itching: Use *Bupleuri Radix* (Chaihu), *Alismatis Rhizoma* (Zexie), *Plantaginis Seed* (Cheqian), *Akebiae Caulis* (Mutong), and *Rehmanniae Radix* (Shengdi), each 1 qian; *Angelica Sinensis* root tail (Guiwei), 6 fen; *Gentianae Radix* (Longdancao), 5 fen. Decoct in water and take, suppressing the medicinal nature with food. Externally, soak one lotus leaf and 10 grains of *Piper Longum* fruit (Hujiao), mash, decoct, and wash for effectiveness.
