Chen Duan Shi (Calcined Stone, seven taels) and Da Huang (Rhubarb Root, one tael) are stir-fried together until the Chen Duan Shi takes on the color of peach blossoms. Remove the Da Huang, add Er Cha (Catechu), Xue Jie (Dragon's Blood Resin), Ru Xiang (Frankincense, oil removed), and Mo Yao (Myrrh, oil removed), each two qian. Grind all into a fine powder for external application. If the wound is ulcerated, mix with Ma You (Sesame Oil) for application; it will be effective without fail.
Sheng Ban Xia (Raw Pinellia Tuber, one tael), Ru Xiang (Frankincense, oil removed), Xiang Pi (Elephant Skin, fire-baked), Chuan Duan (Dipsacus Root), Tong Lv (Malachite Green), Huang Dan (Red Lead), Mo Yao (Myrrh, oil removed), Hua Long Gu (Flower Dragon Bone), Bai Zhi (Angelica Dahurica Root), each three qian, and Zhang Bing (Borneol), two qian. Grind all into a fine powder for external application, which yields immediate results.
This formula treats traumatic wounds with excessive bleeding, where the skin and flesh become cold and the wound fails to close. Take large Ai Ye (Mugwort Leaf), pound it to remove the veins, and mix with Zhen Xin You (True Core Oil) for application; healing will occur. If the skin and flesh are deficient and cannot close, apply Gui Yuan Rou (Longan Aril) for three to five days, and the wound will fill and heal.

Xiang Pi (Elephant Skin, sliced and baked dry) and Hua Long Gu (Flower Dragon Bone), each five qian; Chen Duan Shi (Calcined Stone), Bai Xiang (Pine Rosin, specifically the black variety of pine resin), Song Xiang (Pine Rosin, dissolved together with Bai Xiang, poured into water, taken out and dried), Ku Bai Fan (Burnt Alum), each one tael. Grind all into a fine powder. For traumatic injuries, apply the powder to the bleeding site and fan it; the wound will close and scab immediately. Avoid sleeping in hot places. If the injured area swells, apply decoction of Huang Lian (Coptis Rhizome); the swelling will subside instantly. Abstain from alcohol to prevent reckless blood flow due to blood heat. Do not wrap tightly, as excessive warmth may hinder healing.
Select fresh, high-quality Chen Yan Zhu Rou (Aged Salted Pork), using only the fat part. Cut finely and mince thickly. Then grind Ya Zhu (Tusk) and Ren Zhua Jia (Human Nail) to an extremely fine powder, mix thoroughly with the meat, and apply thickly around the wound; the arrowhead will naturally eject. (Detailed notes in *Xi Yuan Lu*)
Ru Xiang (Frankincense, oil removed), Mo Yao (Myrrh, oil removed), Hong Hua (Safflower Flower), each one qian five fen; Er Cha (Catechu), two qian four fen; Zhu Sha (Cinnabar), one qian two fen; Xue Jie (Dragon's Blood Resin), one tael; Bing Pian (Borneol) and She Xiang (Musk), each one fen two li. Grind all into an extremely fine powder, store in a porcelain bottle, and ensure it is airtight. The longer it is stored, the better. Take seven li per dose; do not take more. Contraindicated for pregnant women.
