[Hemorrhoids] At the initial stage, use Portulaca oleracea (Ma Chi Xian). Whether fresh or dried, cook and eat it. Simultaneously decoct for fumigation and washing of the affected area for immediate effect. For painful swelling of hemorrhoids, take two white goose eggs, remove shells, add 2 fen of Bear Bile (Xiong Dan) and a small amount of Borneol (Bing Pian), grind evenly, place in a porcelain jar, seal tightly. Apply with finger when needed.
[Severe Hemorrhoid Redness, Swelling, Eversion, and Unbearable Pain] Take one large snail, remove the shell top, add 5 fen of Borneol (Bing Pian), place in a tea bowl overnight until completely liquefied. Sweep the lesion with a chicken feather; due to its cooling nature, it stops pain and reduces swelling immediately. Mash green onion heads with honey and apply to the swollen area; it subsides upon feeling cold. For ulcerated discharge of pus and blood, chew Child's Tree Resin (Er Cha) in the mouth and apply to the sore. Initial slight pain occurs, but after several applications, scabs form and heal.
[Long-standing Hemorrhoids Forming Fistulas] Hu Huang Lian (1 liang), Pangolin Scales (Chuan Shan Jia) boiled in sesame oil until yellow, Abalone Shell (Shi Jue Ming), Sophora Flower Bud (Huai Mi) lightly stir-fried (each 5 qian). Refine honey into pills the size of hemp seeds. Take 1 qian per dose, on an empty stomach with clear rice soup, morning and evening, twice daily. Severe cases cure in 40 days. If hard flesh protrudes around the fistula, add 20 silkworm cocoons, stir-fried until burnt and ground into powder, mixed into the medicine. Externally wash with Sophora Flower Bud (Ku Shen) decoction, twice daily for efficacy. If there is excessive pus and blood, or intestinal fluid discharging from the wound, first take Cortex Phellodendri (Ci Pi) roasted, sliced, and stir-fried yellow (1 liang), Hu Huang Lian sliced and stir-fried with ginger juice (1 liang), and Musk (She Xiang) 2 fen, all ground to fine powder. Make pills the size of hemp seeds with soft rice. Take 1 qian before meals with wine. After pus and water are fully discharged, resume the previous prescription for better results.
[Removing Hemorrhoidal Tubes] Rhinoceros Horn (Xi Jiao) powder, Ivory (Xiang Ya) powder, Frankincense (Ru Xiang) defatted, Myrrh (Mo Yao) defatted (each 1 liang), Alum (Ming Fan) powder, Yellow Beeswax (Huang La) (each 5 qian). Melt beeswax in a copper pot, sprinkle in drug powders, make pills the size of paulownia seeds. Boil Forsythia Fruit (Lian Qiao) and Honeysuckle Flower (Jin Yin Hua) (each 1 liang) in 5 jin of good wine, remove dregs, store in a porcelain bottle. Drink one cup of wine daily, take 21 pills of the previous medicine, which removes the root. Dry Chili Pepper (La Qie) 100 pieces with stems, sun-dried and powdered, mixed with 3 sheng of glutinous rice flour, water-pelleted to the size of Euryale Seed (Qian Shi). Take 10 pills on an empty stomach with warm water. Upon completion, the tube hangs out like a belt, cut with anesthesia, and apply plaster to close the wound. After Start of Autumn, take 30 jin of Portulaca oleracea (Ma Chi Xian), extract juice, boil into paste, mix with 3 jin of roasted and finely ground Sophora Flower Bud (Huai Mi). Take 3 qian on an empty stomach with boiling water to remove the tube.
[Extremely Effective Formula for Washing Hemorrhoids] Silver Vine Stem (Wei Ling Xian), Sophora Flower Bud (Huai Mi), Saposhnikovia Root (Fang Feng) (each 1 liang), Chinese Gall (Wu Bei Zi) (5 qian), Tuckahoe on Tile (Wa Song), Willow Catkins (Liu Xu - young roots of willow) (each 2 liang). Chop finely, decoct strongly for fumigation and washing. For unbroken sores, dry eggplant stalks or roots, decoct and wash, 2-3 times daily for effect. For formed fistulas, use 1 jin of Dandelion (Pu Gong Ying) and one pig trotter, decoct, remove oil, filter, and fumigate/wash.
[Blood Hemorrhoids with Internal Distension] Burn dead mulberry tree to white ash, take 3 qian with wine per dose. Decoct strong leek (Jiu Cai) soup, fumigate thoroughly first, then wash with warm liquid, twice daily. (Leeks greatly disperse blood.)
[Hemorrhoidal Bleeding] Acorn (Xiang Zi) ground to powder and glutinous rice flour (each 1 sheng) stir-fried yellow, mixed with boiling water to make cakes, steamed and eaten. Effective after 4-5 doses. If bleeding is not from internal sores during bowel movements, use dried lotus pod shell (burned to ash, decocted) as tea to stop bleeding, until improved.
[Internal Hemorrhoids Not Protruding] Aconite Root (Cao Wu) powder, mixed with saliva, applied to anus to cause prolapse for easier treatment.
[Moxibustion Method for Hemorrhoids] Use Qi Ai (Artemisia argyi) moxa cones the size of soybeans, moxibustion at the depression in the dorsal wrist crease. Wait for the moxa sore to develop, apply Cooling Ointment (Qing Liang Gao). When the moxa sore heals, hemorrhoids also heal.
[Hemorrhoids with Rectal Prolapse] Ash of turtle head ground to powder, sprinkled on the area to retract.
[Syphilis (Yang Mei Chuang)] Patients seeking quick cures often receive Sheng Dan (Calomel/Mercuric Chloride) and Qing Fen (Calomel). While effective in half a month, months or years later, mercury toxicity enters limbs, causing throat and head ulcers, untreatable. Worse conditions include five methods: viewing lamps (medicated lamp smoke), incense burning (smoke inhalation), watching water (medicine in water), warming quilts (fumigation), or rubbing pulse points. Relapse occurs with no cure. For all Yang Mei Guang Chuang (generalized syphilitic rash), red blocks like broad chestnuts, whether initial or ulcerated, first use Poria (Fu Ling), Akebia Caulis (Mu Tong), Saposhnikovia Root (Fang Feng), Schizonepeta Spike (Jing Jie) (each 1 qian), Angelica Sinensis (Dang Gui) (2 qian), Raw Astragalus (Sheng Huang Qi) (3 qian), Ephedra Herb (Ma Huang) (1 qian. Reduce if hot and sweating. This condition involves rising fire; even weak patients can sweat with mutton aid, preventing damage from heavy sweating). Boil 2 jin of lean mutton in 5 bowls of water to 3 bowls, remove meat, use broth to decoct herbs to 2 bowls. Eat full in afternoon, take medicine at night. If cold, drink raw white wine, cover to sweat (head and face must sweat; incomplete sweating causes sequelae). Sweat stops by dawn, bathe in hot water, change clothes/bedding (wash sweaty items separately, avoid others smelling/touching). Then take Raw Rhubarb (Da Huang) 1 liang, finely ground, plus Soap Pod (Ya Zao Jia) stir-fried yellow and powdered 3 qian, water-pelleted. Take 2 qian with warm water. (Eat light breakfast, expect 3-5 bowel movements; rest if spleen tired. Strong constitutions take every other day.) Thereafter, use Tu Fu Ling (Smilax Glabra Rhizome) 1 jin daily (heavy cases 1.5 jin, choose white glutinous type, red is toxic. Do not use iron tools, crush with stone, put in porcelain jar, add 2 sheng water, decoct to 6 bowls. Re-decoct residue with 1 sheng water to get 3 bowls, combine. Adjust if using less). This cures all syphilis toxins, old or new, deficiency/excess, ulcers, joint pain. Long-term use opens appetite, resolves mercury/calomel toxicity. Take 1 bowl per dose, add Wu Bao Dan (Five Treasures Pill) 6 li (approx 5-6 fen daily, add 2-3 fen for strong constitutions). No other tea/drinks. Finish 11-12 bowls of Tu Fu Ling decoction in one day, follow daily until cured. After 3-5 days, joint pain reduces. By 10 days, unformed toxins resolve internally; formed ones use San Xian Dan (Three Immortals Powder) to draw out toxin, apply plaster. Old mercury latent toxins surface after 3-5 days. Strictly avoid sexual intercourse, chicken, fish, fresh/spicy foods. Eat only pork, intestines, tripe, crucian carp, duck. Avoid fresh/spicy vegetables. Physicians hoarding secret formulas cannot surpass this. After 3-5 days, many sores appear on head, indicating toxin exiting meridians. If bad breath/blisters/swollen gums, use Honeysuckle (1 liang), Halloysitum Rubrum (Han Shui Shi), Licorice (Gan Cao) (each 5 qian), decoct strong, add 1 liang Persimmon Frost (Shi Shuang), rinse mouth, heals in 5-7 days.
[Wu Bao Dan Formula] Amber (transparent blood-colored, boiled in Licorice water, 3.5 qian), Pearl (Zhen Zhu) (3.5 qian, steamed in tofu, crushed with rush), Stalactite (Zhong Ru Shi) (3.5 qian, boiled with Costus Root (Mu Xiang) and Licorice (Gan Cao) each 1 qian until dry), Fine Wheat Flour (Fei Luo Mian) stir-fried (5.5 qian), Real Tibetan Musk (Zhen Xi Huang) 2 qian (finely ground). Add 5 fen Borneol (Bing Pian) before use. All finely ground, stored in porcelain jar. Treats nine types...
[Residual Syphilis Toxin] Sophora Flower Bud (Huai Mi) cleaned, lightly fried, tips removed. Take 1-2 qian on empty stomach with warm water or good wine, twice daily. Consume 1-2 sheng total for permanent cure.
[Resolving Sheng Dan Toxicity] For mercury/calomel toxicity entering meridions causing stiff limbs in elderly, dig 3 chi deep earth, mix with well water, clarify. Use this water for cooking rice/meals for 1-2 months for effect. For mouth ulcers/swollen gums/pain, use Earth Slurry (Di Jiang) to detoxify.
[Yu Kou (Chancre)] Chancre on left groin fold. Collect green walnuts on May 5th, shade dry. Calcine to charcoal, powder, take with good wine on empty stomach. Walk slightly 1-2 times, take 3 doses. Unformed resolves, formed reduces. Sophora Flower Bud (Huai Mi) stir-fried yellow 2 liang, decoct in good wine, drink while covered to sweat. Unformed resolves, formed reduces.
[Bian Du (Inguinal Abscess)] Abscess on right groin fold. Angelica Dahurica (Bai Zhi), Silkworm (Jiang Can) stir-fried yellow, Pangolin Scales (Chuan Shan Jia) processed (each 2 qian), Angelica Sinensis (Dang Gui), Raw Rhubarb (Da Huang) (each 3 qian), Frankincense (Ru Xiang), Myrrh (Mo Yao) (each 1 qian). Decoct and take to resolve. Excellent for early-stage malignant toxins. Externally: Ancient Furnace Stone (Qian Nian Duan Shi), Alum (Bai Fan) a pinch, Salt (Yan Yan) little, mixed with rice soup to apply. For those abstaining from sex, constipation, fever/pain, or holding essence during intercourse causing stagnation: Angelica Sinensis (wine-soaked), Licorice Knot (Gan Cao Jie), Talcum (Hua Shi) (each 1.5 qian), Oyster Shell (Mu Li) (2 qian), Raw Rhubarb (Da Huang) (3 qian), Momordica Seed (Mu Bie Zi) 3-5 crushed (avoid if no heat/constipation). Decoct strong, leave overnight, take at dawn, warm in winter. Pus/blood discharges via stool. Weak/tired people without severe pain/constipation should not use. Ulcerated Yu Kou/Bian Du: use Sheng Yao to draw toxin, plaster to close.
[Xia Gan Chuang (Genital Chancre)] Wet rot/pain in penile skin folds. Decoct Licorice (Sheng Gan Cao) and Tuckahoe on Tile (Wa Song), wash/dry. Apply Phoenix Coat (Feng Huang Yi - inner eggshell membrane, fried yellow) and Child's Tree Resin (Er Cha) equal parts powder. Spider webs from wall burned to charcoal, powdered with Borneol, applied for instant pain relief. If corroded, use Sheng Yao to draw toxin. Early stage: Decoct Rhubarb (Da Huang) 1 liang, Soap Pod (Zao Jia) 2 qian, water-pellet, take 2 qian to purge toxin daily. If Rhubarb not tolerated: Pig Pancreas (Zhu Yi Zi) 1, Walnut Meat (He Tao Rou) 2 liang with shell, Honeysuckle (Jin Yin Hua) 1 liang, Licorice (Gan Cao) 5 qian, Smilax Glabra Rhizome (Tu Fu Ling) 2 liang (no iron, crushed), boil in clay pot with wine. Also: Honeysuckle, Dictamnus Root Bark (Bai Xian Pi), Saposhnikovia Root (Fang Feng), Licorice (Gan Cao) (each 2 qian), Soap Thorn (Zao Jiao Ci) 3 qian. First decoct Smilax Glabra Rhizome (Tu Fu Ling) 6 liang (no iron, crushed) to make soup, then decoct herbs to 1 bowl, divide twice daily. Effective for all syphilis/Yu Kou/Xia Gan. Penile urethral chancre: use Sheng Yao thread to draw toxin, continue oral meds, heals in days. [These two formulas are potent: 4 doses of first, then 80 doses of second (2-3/day), fully effective.]
[Xia Gan Itching] Decoct Licorice (Sheng Gan Cao) strong, wash. Apply Cuttlefish Bone (Hai Piao Xiao) powder. Turtle Shell (Bie Jia) powder mixed with Egg White (Ji Zi Qing) applied.
[Chronic Xia Gan] White Snail Shell (Bai Luo Ke) from wall (cleaned, calcined, 5 qian), Calomel (Qing Fen), Face Powder (Gong Fen) (each 3 fen), Borneol (Bing Pian). Spider silk wrapped around chopstick tip, baked with ghee, powdered, mixed with vegetable oil for application/regrowth. Syphilis from damp/muggy climate or foul odors affects skin/muscle/genitals. Syphilis from sexual transmission penetrates Ming Men via essence channel, affecting Chong Mai, spreading everywhere. Manifests in joints/head, seminal emission, chancre corrosion, red/purple sores like berries, white pus, foul smell. Ulcerated: remove necrotic tissue, use Sheng Yao threads. Improper treatment leads to nose/face destruction. Wise people avoid fleeting pleasure to prevent lifelong disability/toxicity to offspring.
[Vitiligo (Bai Dian Feng)] Caused by Spleen stagnation, often sleeping after eating. Tribulus Terrestris (Bai Ji Li) 6 liang (fried, thorns removed, powdered), water-pelleted. Take 2 qian with warm water daily, cures in one month, improves hearing/vision long-term. Buttercup Root (Yang Ti Gen) 2 liang (or Ginger 2 liang), Alum (Ku Fan) 5 qian, Calomel (Qing Fen) 1 qian, Arsenic Trioxide (Xin Shi) 5 fen. Powder, mash to paste. After bathing, rub vigorously with cloth-wrapped medicine, lie warm to sweat, heals. Also treats Tinea Versicolor (Han Ban).
[Purple Cloud Spots (Zi Yun Ban)] Aconite Root (Chuan Wu) ginger-juice fried, Aconite Root (Cao Wu) black bean fried, Stephania Tetrandra (Fang Ji) (each 5 qian), Licorice (Gan Cao) 1 liang, Achyranthes Root (Niu Xi) fried 7 qian, Notopterygium Root (Qiang Huo) for upper body, Pubescent Angelica Root (Du Huo) for lower body, Ligusticum Chuanxiong (Chuan Xiong), Angelica Dahurica (Bai Zhi), Aristolochia Manshuriensis (Ma Dou Ling) fried (each 4 qian). Powder, take 7 fen with good wine. Externally: Cnidium Fruit (She Chuang Zi), Prunella Vulgaris (Xia Ku Cao) decoct for washing. Fungal plaques recede. Sulfur (Huang Liu) vinegar-boiled one day, Cuttlefish Bone (Hai Piao Xiao) 3, ground fine, rub with ginger after bath, avoid wind.
[Tinea Versicolor (Han Ban)] Alum (Ku Fan), Calomel (Qing Fen), Sulfur (Huang Liu), Litharge (Mi Duo Seng) equal parts. Mix with Purslane Juice (Fu Ping) to apply, fades. Or use Apple (Hua Hong Guo) dipped in medicine. Prevents recurrence.
[Cellulitis Like Fire (Dan Du)] Adzuki Bean (Chi Xiao Dou) powder mixed with Egg White (Ji Zi Qing) paste, apply frequently, resolves. Iron Rust Water (Tie Xiu Shui) thick application also resolves.
