[Verse]
The disease of leprosy (Laiji) is originally Leprosy (Lifeng), with nodules all over the body and itching as if insects are present.
In an instant, the nose collapses and eyebrows fall out; one should know that this violent and cruel condition is caused by the accumulation of evil qi (malicious energy).
[Dissertation]
As for Lifeng (Leprosy), it is also called "Da Feng" (Great Wind), and in ancient times was known as Lai (Leprosy). It results from receiving the wind of heaven and earth that kills living things, which is violent, fierce, and cruel, inspiring fear. However, blood follows the movement of qi; if qi does not circulate freely, blood stagnates. When blood stagnates, flesh rots and insects are born. In an instant, the nose collapses and eyebrows fall out. This does not go beyond the involvement of the Yangming channel (Stomach and Large Intestine meridians), because the Yangming channel receives everything. When wind pathogen enters the human body, if qi is affected first, symptoms appear mostly in the upper body; if blood is affected first, symptoms appear mostly in the lower body; if both qi and blood are affected, symptoms appear in both upper and lower bodies. In severe cases, unless the physician has miraculous skills and the patient has iron-like determination, few will escape death. According to the prescribed methods of treatment, one must especially abstain from rich and greasy foods, avoid alcohol and sexual indulgence, so as not to cause recurrence. If it recurs, there is no cure. Those who understand destiny can observe these prohibitions?
For those with symptoms predominantly in the upper body:
Use Zuixian San (Immortal Drunken Powder) to extract foul saliva and bad blood from between the teeth.
Zuixian San (Immortal Drunken Powder)
A divine medicine for treating Da Feng (Great Wind/Leprosy).
Sesamum indicum seed (Banliang) Arctii fructus (Banliang) Vitex trifolia fruit (Banliang) Saposhnikoviae radix (Banliang, remove rhizome) Lycium barbarum fruit (Banliang; the above five herbs are stir-fried together until black) Trichosanthes root (Banliang) Sophora flavescens root (Banliang) Tribulus terrestris fruit (Banliang, stir-fried)
Grind into powder. For every liang of powder, add Qinfen (Calomel) one qian and mix well. Adults take one qian per dose, on an empty stomach, once at noon and once before bed, taken with tea water. Effect is seen in five to seven days. Adjust the dosage according to the size and deficiency/excess condition of the patient.
For those with symptoms predominantly in the lower body:
Use Tongtian Zaizao San (Sky-Penetrating Re-creation Powder) to expel old worms and foul matter from the anus.
Tongtian Zaizao San (Sky-Penetrating Re-creation Powder)
Polygoni multiflori radix (Jinwen variety) (One liang) Rhamni purshianae cortex (Jiaoci) (One and a half liang, single-stemmed, large and black) Curcumae longae radix (Half liang) Pharbitidis semen (Baiqianniu) (Take the first flour six liang, half raw, half cooked)
Grind into powder. Take two qian per dose, mixed with cold wine before bed. Take facing east before sunrise. Have a clean bucket ready to receive excrement. The expelled worms, if black, indicate deep-rooted and long-standing disease; if red, indicate recent onset. Administer another dose after two or four days, until no more worms are expelled, then the root of the disease is eradicated.
