Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu), Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shengdihuang), Herba Tetrandrae (Mutong), Fructus Forsythiae (Lianqiao), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao), Semen Cassiae (Caojueming).
Grind the above herbs into fine powder, form pills with honey. Take 40 pills per dose, delivered with a decoction of Folium Viticis Negundo (Dan Zhuye) boiled in water.

Radix Coptidis (Huanglian), Flos Chrysanthemi (Juhua), Radix Saposhnikoviae (Fangfeng), Radix Paeoniae Rubra (Chishao), Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin), Fructus Gardeniae (Zhizi).
Take equal parts of each herb, cut them into small pieces (Ju), decoct in water, and take warm.

Treats Blood-Toxic Eye disorders.
Fructus Gardeniae (Zhizi), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Flos Chrysanthemi (Juhua), Radix Rehmanniae Recens (Shudihuang), Semen Arctii (Niubangzi), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao), Radix Asari (Xixin), Radix Paeoniae Rubra (Chishao).
Grind equal parts of the above herbs into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, delivered with wine.

Treats White Membrane Invading the Pupil (Bai Mo Qin Jing) and cold tears in the morning.
Semen Tribuli (Bajili), Herba Schizonepetae (Jingjie), Bulbus Ophiopogonis (Maimendong), Fructus Arecae (Binglang), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao), Radix Notopterygii (Qianghuo), Semen Cassiae (Caojueming).
Grind the above herbs into powder. Take 2-3 qian per dose, dissolved and taken with clear tea.

Treats Blood-Heat Cataract (Xue Re Nei Zhang); add Rhizoma Coptidis (Huanglian) and Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai) stir-fried with wine.
Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Radix Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong), Radix Paeoniae Alba (Baishaoyao), Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Shudihuang).
Take equal parts of each herb, cut them into small pieces, decoct together with Medulla Junci (Dengxincao), and take.

For reducing redness (Tui Chi).
Radix Ampelopsis (Bailian), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang), Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai), Semen Tribuli (Bajili), Lignum Sappan (Sumu), Flos Carthami (Honghua), Fructus Gleditsiae (Zaojiao).
Grind the above herbs into powder, mix with cold water to form a paste, and apply to the Taiyang acupoint.

Treats Eye Heat, redness, swelling, and pain.
Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang), Alumen (Baijian), Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao).
Grind the above herbs into powder, mix with water to form cakes, and apply to the Taiyang acupoint.

Treats all types of accumulated heat causing redness, swelling, and pain.
Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin), Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae (Zhiqiao), Radix Paeoniae Rubra (Chishao), Herba Schizonepetae (Jingjie), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang), Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao).
Take on an empty stomach at Wugeng time (3-5 AM); efficacy is achieved upon purgation.

For reducing redness and clearing eye toxic heat.
Cortex Moriperadietis (Sangbaipi, 2 liang), Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang, 5 qian), Herba Schizonepetae (Jingjie, 5 qian), Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao, 2 liang).
Grind the above herbs into powder, mix with honey-water to form a paste, apply to the Taiyang acupoint, using paper as a barrier between the skin and the medicine.

Treats injuries from blows or strikes where blood floods the pupil, as well as conditions like redness/swelling and Head Wind, characterized by unbearable pain.
Fructus Gleditsiae (Zaojiao), Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai), Rhizoma Curcumae Longae (Jianghuang), Rhizoma Arisaematis (Nanxing), Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (Wutou), Radix Coptidis (Huanglian).
Grind the above herbs into powder, mix with Ginger Juice to form a paste, and apply to the Taiyang acupoint. If redness and swelling from trauma do not subside, applying a mixture of Flos Hibisci Mutabilis (Furong), Bean Flour, Radix Rehmanniae Recens Juice, and Albumen Ovi Galli (Chicken Egg White) is highly effective.

Treats eye injury from being struck, where blood floods the pupil.
Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (Dahuang), Rhizoma Curcumae Longae (Jianghuang), Fructus Myrabolanae (Wubeizi), Radix Coptidis (Huanglian), Cortex Phellodendri (Huangbai), Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui), Herba Schizonepetae (Jingjie), Natrii Sulfas (Puxiao), Folium Menthae (Bohe).
Grind equal parts of the above herbs into powder. Mix the powder with Radix Rehmanniae Recens Juice. Apply to the Taiyang acupoint using paper as a barrier; this is effective immediately.
