Regulating the ascending and descending of Yin and Yang, it is a divine medicine. From the prescription of the stone doctor in Fuzhou. Luohuang (Cinnabar, *Realgar*) (ground into fine powder) Zhensha (Needle sand, filtered to remove fine particles, four taels each) Wubeizi (Five-gall nut, one tael, broken)
All ingredients are placed together in a clay pot and boiled in water for one shichen (two hours). After cooling, first remove the five-gall nuts and discard them. Then wash away the needle sand. The luohuang is dried by seepage on ash using one sheet of Chi paper, formed into balls, wrapped in one lotus leaf, placed on the ground, and calcined with strong fire until the medicine turns red, at which point the fire is removed. After overnight processing, it is miraculous for headache due to Qi deficiency!
Prescription of Qian Guanwen.
Touming Luohuang (Transparent Cinnabar, one jin) Qingfen (Calomel, one tael)
First grind the luohuang extremely finely. Take one tael of this finely ground luohuang from one jin, mix it with one tael of qingfen, and grind together for about one shichen. Set aside separately. First, fill ten jin of genuine Bangfen (Concha Margaritiferae) solidly onto a new tile so that the surface is level. Then place a silver yu (cup/bowl) capable of holding more than one jin of luohuang powder in the center of the tile. Surround it tightly with Bangfen to form a pool shape, ensuring it is compacted firmly. Gently remove the silver cup. Scoop fifteen taels of finely ground luohuang powder into the pool with a large spoon. Then add two taels of the pre-mixed qingfen and luohuang powder, spread over the top, and press down slightly with a spoon. Use five jin of hot charcoal to roast around the four sides of the tile. Wait until the luohuang melts through to the bottom and undergoes transformation, where the vapors of luohuang and qingfen fuse and harmonize. Then cover the medicinal pool vigorously with a large bowl of fine Bangfen. Form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Treats all cases of deficiency-cold and fixed cold in men and women, intestinal slippage with incontinence, internal winding pain, incessant diarrhea, cold limbs; vomiting and diarrhea caused by consuming raw or cold foods; also treats leukorrhea (red and white discharge) in women and unmarried girls, sallow and emaciated complexion. Warms the Dantian, strengthens Yuan Yang. Take seven or ten pills per dose.
Treats entrenched cold and chronic cold, retching and vomiting after eating. If left for five or seven years, it leads to fatigue, emaciation, and physical deformity, transforming into Laozai (consumption/tuberculosis). Prescription of Qian Guanwen (The following eighteen characters read "If prolonged, it causes weakness and transforms into Laozai").
Zhusha (Cinnabaris) Xionghuang (Realgar, two taels each)
Take a sand box. First, fumigate it inside and out with two taels of Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex) until it turns yellow. Place the aforementioned medicines inside. Seal the lid with cakes made from thick rice vinegar and Laicha (aged tea). Seal the seam of the box mouth with Chishizhi (Hematite). Wrap the box once with mud made of Chishizhi. Then wrap it again with a layer of yellow mud-paper paste, approximately one finger thick. Bury it first for one night to remove fire toxicity. Take it out, grind finely, and then add the subsequent medicines.
Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, peeled and de-navelled, ground separately into fine powder) Hujiao (Black Pepper) Guanzi (Cassia Twig) Chishizhi (Hematite) Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) Chenxiang (Aquilaria Lignum) Bibo (Long Pepper) Dingxiang (Caryophylli Flos) Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, one tael each) Ruxiang (Olibanum, half a tael, ground finely with Chishizhi)
Grind all these medicines into fine powder and mix evenly with the previous powder. Then use Ersheng Sanhe of clear wine, boil down to remove two-thirds of the volume. Add the Fuzi powder and cook into a paste. Form pills like...
