Jiang Jianpan passed this method to a Daoist priest (Huangguan) in the Inner Daoist Altar, who found it effective after use. However, it is not as thoroughly clean as the ironing method.
Talcum (Huashi), White Dragon Bone (Bailonggu), and White Earth (Baitu) in equal parts.
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Sprinkle on the oily stains, leave for a while, then rub off; no need to wash or iron afterwards. Adding Black Morning Glory Seed (Heiqianniu) powder is even better. If not fully removed after one application, apply again until completely gone. Another prescription: 1 jin of White Earth, 4 liang of Talcum, 1 liang each of Red Stone Lipid (Chishizhi) and Dragon Bone (Longgu). Grind them together into a fine powder, sprinkle dryly on the stain, leave for a while, and rub off.
Used to remove oil stains from embroidered clothing and calligraphy/paintings.
Dragon Bone (Longgu, 1.5 liang), Cuttlebone (Haipiaoxiao), Talcum (Huashi, 2 liang each), and White Earth (Baitu, 1 liang).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Sprinkle on the stained area, leave for a while, and rub off. For urgent use, place paper over the stain and iron it. If not clean, repeat until satisfied. If the oil stains on clothing are old, first apply sesame oil to the old marks, wait a little, then proceed with the above method; the effect is miraculous.
Alum (Baifan, 1 liang), Talcum (Huashi, 2 liang), Soft Gypsum (Ruanshigao, 3 liang, calcined and ground to powder).
Grind the above ingredients to an extremely fine powder. Sprinkle on oily stains, leave for a while, and rub off.
Wash with bat feces mixed with water.
Passed down by Zhi Chun's nephew.
Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu, 2 liang), Black Morning Glory Seed (Heiqianniu, 2 liang), Adzuki Bean (Chixiaodou, 1 sheng), and Soap Pod (Zaojiao, 3 sturdy pods, high quality).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Make pills the size of marbles using white water as a binder, coated with Talcum (Huashi). Use one pill per wash, or simply use the powder without making pills. For heavily soiled clothes...
Passed down by Yang Shoushu's son from Nanjian, very effective.
Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfuzi, 1 jin), Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu, 0.5 jin), Realgar (Xionghuang, ground separately), and Camphor (Zhangnao, ground separately, 0.5 liang each).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix in the Realgar and Camphor evenly, sieve multiple times, and shape into incense sticks. Incense may be difficult to shape if damp due to camphor; lightly bake before use to ensure dryness.
Supervisor Zhang Yanheng said it is very good!
Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu, 1 jin), Momordica Cochinchinensis Seed (Mubiezi), and Realgar (Xionghuang, 2.5 liang each).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Make honey pills the size of marbles. Burn one pill under the bed, or burn at the doorway when mosquitoes are numerous; the smoke will drive them away completely. On summer nights when lamps are first lit, take seven-inch pieces of clean grass or bamboo, and recite the mantra in your heart: "Bolisezha protective grass, save sentient beings from annoyance," seven times.
