The formula of Chancellor Ge.
Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, remove the rhizome head) Jianghuang (Curcumae Longae Rhizoma) Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, remove soil, soak in wine overnight) Huangqi (Astragali Membranacei Radix, honey-fried) Chishao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove the rhizome head, each one tael and a half above) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, half tael, fried)
Crush the above herbs. Take half a tael per dose. Add two cups of water and five slices of ginger, decoct until one cup remains, strain, and take warm.
Yuanhua Gen (Genusgenistidis Radix)
Take this single herb, grind into fine powder, mix with rice vinegar, apply according to the size of the affected area, pain stops immediately. Doctor Guo from Luzhou said: This is a formula used by Doctor Tao Chengyi, who once treated a woman suffering from this disease after childbirth, with good results. However, the application may not stay in place; it must be covered with paper flowers and tied securely with silk fabric.
Expels wind and regulates qi, invigorates blood vessels, strengthens sinews and bones, eliminates cold-dampness, and drives out cold qi. Sun Suiliang, the disciple of Master Ruzhen at Shanfa Temple, suffered from weak legs after contracting dysentery in the Ren year of Shaoxi, eventually developing "crane knee wind" (Kuxifeng). His knees became swollen and painful, his thighs and calves wasted away leaving only skin and bone, joints were contracted and curled unable to flex or extend, requiring others to carry him to stand. For several months, he was nearly disabled. Li Nianshi, nephew of Canyi Zhao Deyuan of Huaidong, took this formula. After his qi and blood flowed smoothly and muscles gradually regenerated, he could walk normally. He recovered completely before finishing the dosage; truly a miraculous formula!
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove the rhizome head) Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex, remove coarse bark, stir-fry until fibers break, weigh) Chuan Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, wash) Shu Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, wash) Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) Huangqi (Astragali Membranacei Radix, lightly stir-fry and weigh, each two taels) Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, remove the rhizome head) Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, remove the rhizome head) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, stir-fried) Renshen (Ginseng Radix, remove the rhizome head and weigh, each one tael)
Grind the above herbs into coarse powder, mix evenly. Take five qian per dose. Add one and a half cups of water, seven slices of ginger, and one jujube, decoct together until eight-tenths remain, strain, and take warm. Previously, someone mentioned: Decoct Siwu Tang to swallow Sijin Wan. Sun Suiliang recovered without taking this (Sijin Wan treats Hongkong foot alternating attacks of pain).
Treats men and women, regardless of age, suddenly struck by wind-stroke or qi-stroke, left or right hemiplegia, limbs unable to move freely, speech slurred, mouth and eyes deviated, sinews and vessels contracted, half-body paralysis, loss of consciousness. Repeated use has indeed shown miraculous effects! Professor Zhang Yi of Hanyang transmitted this formula. Added ingredients:
Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum) Yizhiren (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus) Da Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, processed, remove skin and navel, each one tael above) Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, half tael) Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, one piece, weighing seven or eight qian, raw, remove skin and navel)
Crush the above herbs. Weigh half a tael per dose. Add two large cups of water, ten slices of ginger, one jujube, add a little salt, decoct together until seven-tenths remain, strain, take on an empty stomach...
