*Zisheng Jing* states: Li Xixing claimed that during the Wude era, when he was garrisoning Luzhou, Zhen Quan showed me the newly compiled *Mingtang*. At that time, Prefect Cheng Junchuo suddenly had his neck swell as large as several sheng, with blockage in the throat, unable to swallow water or grain for three days. I begged Quan to save him. He needled the tip of the second finger of his right hand. After about a meal time, his breath cleared. The next day, he ate and drank as usual. According to the *Bronze Man*, Shaoshang is located at the medial tip of the thumb, about the width of a leek leaf from the corner of the nail. Cheng Junchuo had swelling of the cheeks and mandible as large as a sheng; Zhen Quan needled him and he recovered immediately. The symptoms were slightly different, but the efficacy was the same. However, Li said the second finger tip, while the *Bronze Man* says the thumb tip. It is unknown which is correct. If it was indeed Shaoshang, it should be on the thumb. I shall preserve both accounts for scholars to verify.
