The condition of wind-stroke with tendon and vessel spasm and tension is caused by the deficiency of Qi and Blood after childbirth, resulting in the deficiency of all Zang-Fu organs. If one engages in labor too early before the postpartum period (one month) is over, it damages the Zang-Fu organs, and the deficiency fails to recover. When Wind pathogenic factors and Cold qi initially invade the skin, muscles, and meridians, it leads to numbness and insensitivity, emaciation, fatigue, and shortness of breath. When Wind enters the tendons and vessels, if it combines with Cold, it causes spasm and tension of the tendons and vessels.
