When the effects of mineral drugs (Rushi) manifest as fullness and distension in the heart and abdomen, it is because diet and lifestyle have all violated warm and stifling conditions. The momentum of the minerals becomes obstructed and stagnant, failing to diffuse and circulate freely. Consequently, heat qi within the zang-fu organs fights with each other, potentially leading to cold pathologies. [Note: The original text contains fragmented phrases such as "can cold," "nature clear," "sour," and "pain," indicating associated symptoms like cold sensations, clear/cold qualities, sour discomfort, and pain.]
Weirui Decoction (Cistanche Decoction, from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs, characterized by chest and epigastric stuffiness, distension, and heat toxicity.
Ingredients: Weirui (Rhizoma Polygonati), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, remove black skin), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum, processed), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, remove seedlings, each 1.5 liang), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, remove mustache, each 1 liang).
Usage: Coarsely crush the herbs, add a small amount of Douchi (Fermented Soybean), decoct with water, and take orally until symptoms cease.
Huangqin Decoction (also known as Huangqin Powder, from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs, presenting with abdominal distension and headache. Patients may previously have had fixed masses or accumulation that did not resolve, caused by drinking alcohol or eating meat, often suffering from bitter sensation in the heart, urgency, and pain.
Dahuang Decoction (from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs, featuring rebellious qi, excess heat syndrome, fullness and distension of the heart and abdomen, red urine, difficult defecation, stuffiness with rebellious qi rushing to the chest, and dry mouth.
Ingredients: Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, crushed and stir-fried, 1 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, remove black center, 3 liang), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma, remove mustache and crush), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart and baked, each 2 liang).
Usage: Coarsely crush and sieve the herbs, take orally with warm water.
Shigao Decoction (Gypsum Decoction, from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs, presenting with high fever, fullness, and distension of the heart and abdomen.
Ingredients: Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum, 3 liang), Daqing (Indigo Naturalis, 3 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, remove black center), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix, each 2 liang).
Usage: Coarsely crush and sieve the herbs. Take 5 qian per dose, decoct with one zhan of water, adding Xiangchi (Fragrant Fermented Soybean) during decoction.
Xiangchi Decoction (Fragrant Fermented Soybean Decoction, from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs, characterized by internal deficient heat, chest and abdominal stuffiness and distension, unresolved external wind-dampness, and muscle contraction and tension.
Ingredients: Chi (Fermented Soybean, 2 liang), Zhizi Ren (Gardeniae Semen, 14 pieces), Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus, one handful, chopped), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, remove black center, 3 liang).
Usage: Except for Congbai and Chi, coarsely crush and sieve the remaining herbs. Decoct with water, adding Congbai and Chi towards the end.
Gancao Decoction (Licorice Decoction, from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs where internal heat accumulates and does not dissipate. This may occur after drinking alcohol, eating cold food, or bathing/washing without relief. Symptoms may include abdominal distension, headache, eye pain, prior indigestion of accumulated food, continuous drinking without eating, or heart pain.
Ingredients: Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and crushed), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, remove black center), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, crushed and stir-fried, 2 liang).
Usage: Coarsely crush and sieve the herbs. Take 5 qian per dose, decoct with 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 0.8 zhan, strain, and take warm.
Daoqi Pill (Qi-Guiding Pill, from *Shengji Zonglu*) treats the manifestation of mineral drugs causing heart and abdominal distension and fullness.
Ingredients: Qianniu (Semen Pharbitidis, 4 liang), crushed and sieved into powder. Use natural juice of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) to cook wheat paste for binding.
Usage: Form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with Shengjiang Tang (Ginger Decoction).
For treating the manifestation of mineral drugs causing abdominal distension as if bursting, often due to prolonged sitting, lower jiao heat, warm clothing, and dietary irregularities (from *Shengji Zonglu*):
It is advisable to frequently consume cold foods, drink chilled beverages, bathe while facing the wind to cool down, and the condition will resolve shortly.
