After the recovery from cold damage (Shanghan), the Qi and Blood have not yet been solidified. The Zang-Fu organs remain deficient. Residual pathogenic Qi still exists. If left untreated for a prolonged period, the condition does not improve. The body becomes emaciated. Limbs and joints ache.
