Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus, 3 liang, crushed), Yan (Salt, 2 liang). Fry the above medicines until cooked. Apply hot compress to swelling. Immediate effect.
Rusheng Tang (Like Sage Decoction, also known as Ganjie Tang, from *Zhizhi Fang*) Treats wind-heat toxic gas attacking upwards. Sore throat and laryngeal obstruction. Swelling, obstruction, and stuffiness. As well as lung congestion with cough. Expectoration of pus and blood. Chest fullness with chills. Dry throat without thirst. Occasional discharge of turbid foam. Foul breath. Long-term expectoration of pus resembling rice porridge. Also treats sore throat from typhoid.

Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 1 liang, fried), Gancao (Licorice Root, sliced, 2 liang, fried). Make into coarse powder. Take 2 qian each time. One cup of water. Decoct to seven-tenths. Take warm.
