Polyuria in women arises because both the Kidney and the Bladder govern water metabolism. The Qi of the Kidney communicates with the external genitalia. If these two meridians are both deficient, and heat pathogens invade, it leads to dysuria (difficult or painful urination).
Formulas:
Lurong Wan (Deer Antler Pill): Treats chronic deficiency-cold in women, characterized by white turbid urine, slippery frequency, and incontinence.
Ingredients: Lurong (Cervus Nippon Cornu Corneum, remove hair, coat with butter, roast until slightly yellow), Jiaohong (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, lightly stir-fried), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, heartwood), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, processed, remove skin and navel, each 1 liang), Muli (Ostreae Concha, calcined into powder, 1 liang).
Administration: Divide into doses, soak in wine, remove shriveled parts, take warm, administered with wine.
Lurong Wan (Deer Antler Pill): Treats chronic deficiency-cold in women, with urination occurring 30-50 times day and night. Deficiency of both the Kidney and Bladder meridians, accompanied by heat pathogens, causes dysuria.
Ingredients: Lurong (Cervus Nippon Cornu Corneum), Hai Zhe Gu (Sepiae Endoconcha), Sang Ji Sheng (Taxilli Ramulus, each 1 liang), Long Gu (Fossilia Ossis Mastodi et Scapulae, each 1 liang), Baishao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, each 3 qian), Sang Piao Xiao (Mantidis Oötheca).
