The disease of "Pao Zhuan" (Bladder Displacement/Torsion) in women is caused by heat forcing within the bladder. Or, holding urine too long, both conditions cause water qi to press back upon the bladder, causing it to curl and close, unable to fill and expand. External urine should enter but is blocked.
Luan Fa San (Hair Ash Powder) (from *Sheng Hui Fang*), treats women who hold urine too long and cannot urinate when needed, leading to Pao Zhuan. After four or five days, the condition becomes critical and life-threatening; this formula is suitable for use.
Luan Fa (Human Hair, 1 jin, burnt to ash) Hua Shi (Talcum, 3 liang) Li Yu Chi (Carp Teeth, 1 liang). The above are ground into a fine powder. Take at any time, mixing with warm water and taking 2 qian.

Take Che Qian Zi (Plantago Seed, 1 jin), boil in 7 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Remove the dregs. Warm and take one zhong zhan before meals.
Another Formula
Take Fu Hua Cao (Hydrocotyle Japonica, 2 liang, dried), boil in 1 zhan of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Remove the dregs. Warm and take one zhong zhan before meals, followed by drinking 1 qian of the decoction. It also promotes urination and reduces edema.

Ye San (Leaf Powder) [Note: Text implies a formula involving leaves/tea], treats Pao Zhuan in women with blocked urination. It can also treat men.
Guo Cha Ye (Tea Leaves wrapped/brewed, burnt to ash 1 liang) Hua Shi (Talcum, ground fine 0.5 liang). Grind evenly, mix with boiling water, and take 2 qian.
Shi Wei Tang (Pyrosia Decoction), treats Pao Zhuan with blocked urination.
Shi Wei (Folium Pyrrosiae, remove hairs) Che Qian Zi (Plantago Seed). Equal parts, ground into coarse powder. Take 5 qian per dose, boil in 2 zhan of water until reduced to 1 zhan. Remove dregs and take.
Ba Wei Wan (Eight-Ingredient Pill), treats women whose diet remains normal but suffer from irritability, heat, inability to lie down, and instead must lean forward to breathe. This is because the ligament of the bladder is twisted, preventing urination, hence the name Zhuan Bao (Displaced Bladder).
Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia Root, 8 liang) Shan Yao (Chinese Yam) Zhu Yu (Cornus Fruit, pitted, 4 liang each) Fu Zi (Aconite Root, processed) Gui Xin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, 2 liang each) Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex, remove heart) Fu Ling (Poria)...
