*Pseudoclavaria* (Huai'er), *Ampelopsis japonica* root bark (Bailian), *Artemisia argyi* leaf (Aiye), *Phragmites communis* pollen (Puhuang), *Angelica dahurica* root (Baizhi) (each 2 liang), *Astragalus membranaceus* root (Huangqi), *Panax ginseng* root (Renshen), *Dipsacus asper* root (Xuduan), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui), *Limonitum* (Yuyuliang), *Citrus reticulata* peel (Jupi), *Poria cocos* sclerotium (Fuling). Soak the above herbs overnight, then decoct.

Baizhu San (From *Shenghui Fang*)
Treats leukorrhea in women. Cold pain in the umbilical and abdominal region. Discomfort in the four limbs. Lack of luster in the complexion.
*Atractylodes macrocephala* root (Baizhu) (1 liang), *Artemisia argyi* leaf (Aiye) (1 liang, lightly roasted), *Aconitum carmichaelii* lateral root (Fuzi) (1 liang, processed, peeled), *Ligusticum chuanxiong* rhizome (Chuanxiong) (2 fen), *Colla corii asini* (Ejiao) (1 liang, crushed and roasted until yellow-gray), *Evodia rutaecarpa* fruit (Wuzhuyu) (0.5 liang, soaked in water). Pulverize finely and sieve into a powder. Take before meals.

Formula for treating persistent leukorrhea with bleeding. (From *Daquan Liangfang*)
*Ostrea gigas* shell (Muli), *Limonitum* (Yuyuliang), *Trionyx sinensis* shell (Biejia) (each 6 fen), *Astragalus membranaceus* skin (Huangpi), *Colla corii asini* (Ejiao), *Sepia esculenta* bone (Wuzeigu), *Dipsacus asper* root (Xuduan), *Angelica dahurica* root (Baizhi) (each 4 fen), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui), *Red halloysite* (Chishizhi).

Danggui San (From *Shenghui Fang*)
Treats leukorrhea in women. Unceasing pain below the umbilical and abdominal region.
*Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (2 liang, lightly roasted with vinegar), *Costus root* (Muxiang) (1 liang), *Cinnamomum cassia* twig (Guixin) (1 liang), *Ligusticum chuanxiong* rhizome (Chuanxiong) (1 liang), *Colla cornu cervi* (Lujiaojiao) (2 liang, crushed and roasted until yellow and dry). Pulverize the above herbs finely and sieve.

Formula for treating leukorrhea in women. (From *Qianjin Fang*)
*Ligusticum chuanxiong* rhizome (Chuanxiong), *Cinnamomum cassia* twig (Guixin), *Colla corii asini* (Ejiao), *Red halloysite* (Chishizhi), *Cirsium japonicum* root (Xiaoji gen) (each 2 liang), *Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Dihuang) (4 liang), *Longgu* (Fulonggan) (seven pieces, size of a chicken egg). If *Longgu* is unavailable, it is said that two sheng of urine from a white horse can be used, replacing with *Alumen rubrum* (Baishizhi).

Yuyuliang San (From *Shenghui Fang*)
Treats persistent leukorrhea in women that does not stop.
*Limonitum* (Yuyuliang) (2 liang, calcined and quenched in vinegar seven times), *Cinnamomum cassia* twig (Guixin) (3 fen), *Ligusticum chuanxiong* rhizome (Chuanxiong) (1 liang), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (1 liang, sliced and lightly stir-fried), *Sepia esculenta* bone (Wuzeiyu gu) (1 liang). Pulverize finely and sieve into a powder. Take before meals.

Another prescription (From *Shenghui Fang*)
*Aconitum carmichaelii* lateral root (Fuzi) (one piece, processed until cracked, peeled and navel removed), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (1 liang, sliced and lightly stir-fried), *Sepia esculenta* bone (Wuzeiyu gu) (1 liang, calcined to ash), *Equisetum ramosissimum* herb (Muzei) (1 liang), *Cornu bubali* horn sheath (Niujiao sai) (1 liang, calcined to ash), *Os draconis* (Longgu) (1 liang), *Moschus* (Shexiang) (1 liang, finely ground). Pulverize the above herbs finely and sieve into a powder. Before meals, take with congee broth.

Formula for treating incessant leukorrhea in women. (From *Shenghui Fang*)
*Ostrea gigas* shell (Muli) (2 liang, calcined to powder), *Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Shugan Dihuang) (1 liang), *Zingiber officinale* rhizome (Ganjiang) (3 fen, processed and slightly sliced). Pulverize the above herbs finely and sieve into a powder. Take before meals.

Pi Wan (From *Shenghui Fang*)
Treats labor injury in women. Deficiency and damage of Qi and Blood. Leukorrhea that comes and goes without stopping.
Cow hide (Pi) (1 liang, roasted until slightly charred), *Pseudoclavaria* (Huai'er) (3 fen), *Ampelopsis japonica* root bark (Bailian) (0.5 liang), *Astragalus membranaceus* root (Huangqi) (3 fen, sliced), *Artemisia argyi* leaf (Aiye) (3 fen, lightly stir-fried), *Cinnamomum cassia* twig (Guixin) (1 liang), Pig trotter nail (Zhuti jia) (1 liang, calcined to ash), *Cornu bubali* horn sheath (Niujiao sai) (1 liang, calcined to ash), Trotter nails (7 pieces, calcined to ash). Pulverize the above herbs finely. Take thirty pills mixed with warm wine.

Treatment for leukorrhea. (From *Jingyan Liangfang*)
*Pinus massoniana* trunk resin (Zonglv) (calcined to ash), Luffa cylindrica fruit (Sigua, commonly known as fish melon, planted in summer for trellises). Mix equal parts into a fine powder. Take on an empty stomach with salted wine.

Douhua San for treating leukorrhea in women. (From *Jingyan Liangfang*)
Dry white lablab bean flowers by roasting and grind into powder. Cook rice with fried rice grains and add burnt salt. Take on an empty stomach several times; effective quickly. Do not use purple ones.

Treatment for leukorrhea. (From *Jingyan Liangfang*)
Stir-fry silkworm excrement until red and smoke disappears. Grind into a fine powder. Form pills with sticky rice paste. Or make into cakes. Take with wine or aged rice soup. Must be prepared on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.

Matixie Tang (Also known as Baimati San, From *Qianjin Fang*)
Treats persistent leukorrhea in women.
White horse hoof (Baimati), *Red halloysite* (Chishizhi) (each 5 liang), *Limonitum* (Yuyuliang), *Os draconis* (Longgu), *Ostrea gigas* shell (Muli) (each 4 liang), *Aconitum carmichaelii* lateral root (Fuzi), *Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Shugan Dihuang), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (each 3 liang). One formula uses *Alumen rubrum* (Baishizhi) instead.

Matix Wan (From *Qianjin Fang*)
Treats persistent leukorrhea.
White horse hoof (Baimati), *Limonitum* (Yuyuliang) (each 4 liang), *Os draconis* (Longgu) (3 liang), *Sepia esculenta* bone (Wuzeigu), *Bombyx batryticatus* (Baijiangcan), *Red halloysite* (Chishizhi) (each 2 liang). Make into powder. Form pills with honey.

Neibu Dan
Tonifies the middle and regulates blood. Treats persistent metrorrhagia in women that has lasted for a long time. Previous treatments have failed. This medicine should be used. It takes effect immediately.
*Coptis chinensis* rhizome (Huanglian), *Cornus officinalis* fruit (Shanzhuyu), *Zingiber officinale* rhizome (Ganjiang), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui), *Trionyx sinensis* shell (Biejia), *Genkwa flower* (Yuanhua) (moistened with vinegar), *Angelica dahurica* root (Xiang Baizhi), *Larix leptolepis* resin (Ganqi) (moistened with oil), *Aconitum kusnezoffii* root (Chuan Wutou), *Cinnamomum cassia* twig (Guangui) (1 fen, sliced and coarse bark removed), *Citrus reticulata* peel (Chenpi) (1 fen, sliced and stir-fried), *Brassica rapa* seed (Yuntai) (1 fen, stir-fried to extract white kernel), *Os draconis* (Bai Longgu) (1 fen, heated until red and finely ground). Take broken porcelain bowls or plates, any amount. Crush them on a hard stone using another hard stone. Wrap in paper cloth. Pounding extremely fine on the stone again. Wrap in double-layer raw silk. Thirty pills. Take with warm wine.

Tiaojing Shengyang Chushi Tang
Treats leakage of foul blood in women. Irregular menstruation. Or sudden severe metrorrhagia. Excessive discharge of watery fluids. All caused by irregular diet or inherent deficiency of Heart Qi. Due to dietary excess and fatigue, Fire attacks the Spleen. The person must be lethargic and sleepy. Four limbs do not function properly. Upper Qi rebels. Urgent upward rushing. The pulse is slow and string-tight. Pressing reveals surging and large qualities. Obtained under the middle finger. Spleen Earth is affected by pathogens. Heart governs Blood. Blood governs vessels. Both are affected by pathogens. Diseases reside in the vessels. Vessels are the mansion of Blood. Heart is the spirit of man. When Heart does not issue commands, Pericardium acts on its behalf. Thus, it is said that Heart vessels belong to the Heart system. The Heart system refers to the vessels of the Pericardium and Mingmen. Menstruation becomes irregular due to Spleen-Stomach deficiency, and the Pericardium acts on behalf of the Emperor. Hence, menstrual water is irregular. Moreover, Spleen and Stomach are the roots of Qi, Blood, Yin, and Yang. Dampness must be removed and Heat cleared. Wind-Qi must be aided to rise and extend to overcome dampness. It is also said that because Fire is depressed, it is released.
*Bupleurum chinense* root (Chaihu), *Notopterygium incisum* rhizome (Qianghuo) (each 1.5 qian), *Saposhnikovia divaricata* root (Fangfeng) (1 qian), *Vitex rotundifolia* fruit (Manjingzi) (0.7 fen), *Angelica pubescens* root (Duhuo) (0.5 qian), *Atractylodes lancea* rhizome (Cangzhu) (1.5 qian), *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* root (Gancao) (roasted). Coarsely chop. Like hemp seeds. Decoct and take.

Shenxian Jubao Dan
Treats deficiency-cold of the Blood Sea. External contraction of wind-cold. Binding and accumulation without dispersal. Accumulation forms masses. Qi and Blood attack and cause pain. Metrorrhagia and leukorrhea.
*Myrh* (Moyao), *Amber* (Hupo) (each 1 liang, separately ground), *Cinnabar* (Chensha) (1 qian, finely ground), *Costus root* (Muxiang) (roasted, powder extracted, 1 liang), *Frankincense* (Diru) (separately ground, 1 fen), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (1 liang). Form one pill. Dissolve and take with warm wine.

Jisu Wan
The above are all cases where Blood flows when encountering Heat. Also suitable: *Paeonia lactiflora* root (Baishaoyao) 1 liang, *Zingiber officinale* rhizome (Ganjiang) 2 liang. Coarsely chop. Stir-fry until yellow and grind into fine powder. Take on an empty stomach with rice drink. Effective after half a month of taking. Also suitable: *Angelica sinensis* root...

Fangxiang San treats persistent metrorrhagia.
*Angelica dahurica* root (Xiang Baizhi) (1.5 liang), *Os draconis* (Longgu) (1 liang), *Carduus crispus* leaf (Ci jie ye) (1 liang). Make into fine powder. Each dose 2 qian. Take with warm wine. Rice drink soup also works.

Pili San
Treats erratic meridian flow. Persistent metrorrhagia.
*Cyperi rhizoma* (Xiangfuzi) (6 liang, hair removed), *Aconitum kusnezoffii* root (Chuan Wutou) (processed, tip removed, 2 liang), *Ferrum oxydum* (Duanshi) (oil stir-fried, 2 liang). Make into fine powder. Each dose 2 qian. Quench in fire hammer.

Ai Jian Wan
Treats deficiency-cold of the Blood Sea in women. Excessive menstruation. Metrorrhagia and leukorrhea. Abdominal and hypochondriac pain.
*Artemisia argyi* leaf (Aiye) (soaked in rice vinegar overnight, roasted to ash), *Citrus reticulata* peel (Chen Jupi) (peeled), *Alpinia officinarum* rhizome (Gaoliangjiang) (sliced and stir-fried), *Zingiber officinale* rhizome (Ganjiang) (stir-fried), *Paeonia lactiflora* root (Chishaoyao), *Paeonia lactiflora* root (Baishaoyao), *Evodia rutaecarpa* fruit (Wuzhuyu) (washed in water seven times, dried), *Curcuma zedoaria* rhizome (Peng Ezhu) (roasted), *Os draconis* (Longgu), *Ostrea gigas* shell (Muli) (each 1 liang). Make into fine powder. Boil with vinegar and wheat paste to form pills the size of wutong seeds.

Sanmiao San
Treats metrorrhagia in women.
Use Pingwei San and Sijunzi Tang, two doses each. First decoct and take several doses. Then take the following medicine.

Sanhui San
Decayed palm fiber (Baizong), *Liquidambar formosana* bark (Suopi), *Prunus triandra* leaf (Zhimuye). Calcine to ash retaining nature. Each dose 2 qian. Decoct in wine until three-tenths remain. Take on an empty stomach. To make pills, boil in wine and paste. Pill color yellow.

Sishen San
*Piper nigrum* fruit (Hujiao) (4 grains), *Platycladus orientalis* root (Xue Bai shu gen) (1 liang, tender ones), *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* root (Gancao) (0.5 liang), *Asarum europaeum* root (Xixin), *Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides* root (He'ou gen) (each 1 liang). Jingjie San
Treats chronic metrorrhagia. Effective after just one dose.
*Schizonepeta tenuifolia* root (Jingjie gen) (baked on tile until charred, retaining nature), *Foeniculum vulgare* fruit (Huixiang) (equal parts). Make into powder. Each dose 3 qian. Take with warm wine.

Yuzhi San
Treats metrorrhagia.
*Cyperi rhizoma* (Xiangfuzi) (half raw, half cooked), *Hematites* (Daizheshi). Make into fine powder. Take with wine. For severe metrorrhagia, decoct and take. Another formula: take with plain water.

Qiangweigen Jian treats metrorrhagia and dysentery in women. Dozens of evacuations per day. *Xundiao gen*, *Rosa multiflora* root (Qiangwei gen), *Diospyros kaki* root (Shi gen), *Smilax glabra* rhizome (Baqia) (each 1). Slice and combine. Submerge in water in a pot, leaving 4-5 cun above the herbs. Boil juice until it can form pills. Form pills the size of wutong seeds. Take with wine.

Danggui San
Treats persistent leakage in women. Frequent abdominal pain.
*Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (1 liang, sliced and lightly stir-fried), *Dragon's blood* (Qilin jie) (2 liang), *Limonitum* (Yuyuliang) (1 liang, calcined and quenched in vinegar seven times), *Paeonia lactiflora* root (Chishaoyao) (1 liang), *Phellodendron amurense* bark (Huangbai) (1 fen). Take 1 qian mixed with congee drink.

Formula for treating persistent metrorrhagia and hematochezia in women.
*Prunus mume* fruit (Wumei) (7 pieces, pitted and lightly stir-fried), *Pinus massoniana* trunk resin (Zonglv) (2 liang, calcined to ash), *Zingiber officinale* rhizome (Ganjiang) (3 fen, processed, cracked, and sliced). Pulverize finely and sieve into a powder. Each dose taken with congee drink.

Baishizhi Wan
Treats prolonged leukorrhea with deficiency. Injury to the uterus. Continuous menstruation. Accumulating over days leads to metrorrhagia. Exhaustion of Qi and Blood. Yellow and emaciated limbs. Urgent distension in the umbilical and abdominal region. Palpitations and dizziness. Loss of appetite.
*Alumen rubrum* (Baishizhi), *Os draconis* (Longgu), *Limonitum* (Yuyuliang) (baked in fire, quenched in vinegar seven times), *Astragalus membranaceus* root (Huangqi) (honey-roasted), *Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Shugan Dihuang) (baked dry, each 1 liang), *Angelica dahurica* root (Xiang Baizhi), *Cinnamomum cassia* twig (Rougui). Mix with refined honey to form pills...

Another prescription
Silkworm paper ash (Canzhi hui) (1 liang), Tea leaves from tea basket (Chalong nei chaye) (1 liang, calcined to ash). Grind finely. Before meals, take 2 qian mixed with warm wine.

Treatment for metrorrhagia in women.
Use 2 qian of soot (Baicaoshuang). Mix evenly with dog bile. Divide into two doses. Decoct with Danggui wine and take.

Treatment for metrorrhagia and leakage in girls.
Roast *Cervum nippon* antler (Lurong) into powder. Take on an empty stomach with warm wine, one cubic inch measure.

Treatment for infertility due to persistent leakage in women.
Decoct and drink *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui).

Treatment for persistent metrorrhagia in women.
Crush fresh *Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Shengdihuang) and drink the juice.

Treatment for red and white leakage.
Slice *Pinus massoniana* trunk (Lumu) and decoct in water to take.

Xiaoji Yin
Treats excessive menstruation leading to metrorrhagia and leakage.
*Cirsium japonicum* root and leaf (Xiaoji genye), *Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Dihuang) (extract one bowl of juice from each), *Atractylodes macrocephala* root (Baizhu) (0.5 liang, made into powder). Mix the juices of the two herbs with the Baizhu powder. Take frequently; effective.

Treatment for metrorrhagia.
*Sepia esculenta* bone (Wuzeigu), *Colla corii asini* (Ejiao) (stir-fried), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui) (boiled in wine). Make into powder. Mix with red chopsticks with nodes, rotate counter-clockwise forty-nine times. Take evenly.

Chronic metrorrhagia for many years.
Decoct and drink *Phyllostachys heterocycla* var. *pubescens* bamboo leaves (Mazhuye).

Metrorrhagia with abdominal pain or red/white discharge.
*Corydalis yanhusuo* rhizome (Yanhusuo), *Angelica sinensis* root (Danggui), *Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa* root (Shudihuang), *Scutellaria baicalensis* root (Huangqin) (salt-roasted). Make into powder. Take with wine; immediate effect. For white discharge, add *Astragalus membranaceus* root (Huangqi) and *Poria cocos* (Chifuling).

Treatment for women with five-colored leakage and emaciation.
Equal parts of *Trionyx sinensis* shell (Biejia), *Terminalia chebula* peel (Helile pi), and *Zingiber officinale* rhizome (Ganjiang). Form pills. Take thirty pills on an empty stomach with warm wine.

Another prescription
Crush fresh *Cirsium setosum* root (Daji gen), squeeze out juice. Take half jin; stops immediately.

Treatment for persistent dripping metrorrhagia.
Grind *Hematites* (Dazheshi) into fine powder. Take mixed with vinegar soup. (Dazheshi is also called Chitu).

Treatment for white discharge leakage.
Eat celery chopped with scallions. Cooking and eating is also acceptable.
