On the fourth day of febrile disease, the Taiyin meridian is affected. The Taiyin meridian is the head of the three Yin meridians. After the pathogenic factors of the three Yang meridians have been exhausted, they transmit into the Yin meridians. Consequently, toxic pathogens enter the chest and diaphragm region.
The symptoms include dryness of the throat and fullness in the chest and abdomen. Therefore, the disease can be cured by inducing vomiting.
Formulas
Kushen San (Bitterroot Powder), from *Shenghui Fang*, treats febrile disease on the fourth day, characterized by Jie Xiong (chest binding with fullness and pain), high fever, and body aches. It is suitable for administration to induce vomiting for recovery.

Vomiting should occur, after which the patient will recover. If vomiting does not occur, administer again.
