The condition known as Pin Hemorrhoids (a type of hemorrhoid characterized by anal masses and bleeding) arises from chronic deficiency of the Large Intestine, allowing Wind-Heat pathogens to stagnate. This leads to Qi obstruction in the Stomach and Intestines, impeding the flow of Body Fluids. Pathogenic Heat attacks the Lungs upwards and sinks into the Anorectal region downwards, failing to disperse, thus causing this disease. This is mostly due to long-term indulgence in raw and cold foods, alcohol consumption, or ingestion of toxic substances, which causes pathogens to stagnate in the Zang-Fu organs and transmit to the intestines, resulting in hematochezia, ulceration, swelling, and pain. Hence it is named Pin Hemorrhoids. This condition is also known as Wine Hemorrhoids.
