When the functions of the Five Zang Organs (Five Viscera) are harmonious, the Ying and Wei Qi (Nutritive and Defensive Qi) circulate smoothly. When the Ying and Wei Qi circulate smoothly, the Jin Ye (Body Fluids) flow without obstruction. When the Jin Ye nourish the skin and muscles, the Spleen and Stomach transport and transform normally. Even with excessive intake of water and food, it will not lead to the accumulation of dampness and water into Pi masses (abdominal lumps).
Da Wu Ming Yelangdu Wan (Giant Five Bright Wolfbane Pill), sourced from *Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold), treats hard Pi masses. Symptoms present as lump-like obstructions in the chest and hypochondrium, or in the heart and abdomen.
Herbs: Radix Stellerae Chamaejasme (Yelangdu), Dried Rehmannia Root (Dihuang, four liang), Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi), Rhubarb (Dahuang), Cistanche Stem (Rongshu), Ginseng Root (Renshen), Angelica Sinensis Root (Danggui), Asarum Root (Xixin), Sichuan Pepper (Shujiao), Schisandra Berry (Wuweizi), Dried Ginger (Jiangyu, roasted until yellow, one liang).
Usage: The above herbs are ground into powder, mixed with wine and honey to form pills, sized like Sophora seeds. Take five pills per dose, with warm wine. Three times daily, once at night. If diarrhea occurs after taking the medicine, it can be resolved by taking Huanglian Tang (Coptis Decoction).
Biejia Dahuang Wan (Turtle Shell and Rhubarb Pill), sourced from *Shengji Zonglu* (General Records of the Holy Radiance), treats Pi accumulation. Its efficacy lies in strengthening the Spleen and Stomach, and eliminating retained food stagnation.
Herbs: Turtle Plastron and Carapace (Biejia, remove skirt edge, roast with vinegar until yellow, two liang), Rhubarb (Dahuang, roasted, crushed), Areca Seed (Binglang), Prepared Aconite Root (Fuzi, cracked by roasting, remove skin and umbilicus), Wheat Bran (Maifu, fried, one liang each), Linder Fruit (Wuyao), Burreed Tuber (Sanleng, crushed, three fen each).

Usage: The aforementioned nine herbs are chopped and pounded, then sifted three times to become powder. Take the five types of liquids (paste, marrow, etc.), add one dou of water, and decoct together until the medicinal juice and water are completely evaporated, leaving only the paste. Wait until slightly cool, then add the herbal powder, stir evenly, and decoct over fire, stirring repeatedly three times (three up, three down). Store in a dry container to solidify. Cool and form into cakes. Take one fang cun bi per dose, heated with one sheng of clear wine. Take twice during the day and once at night. It not only treats Pi Qi but also manages various diseases. Avoid raw green onions and coriander.
