The condition of "pearl tube" growing in the eye arises from wind-heat and phlegm-fluids infiltrating the Liver, causing stagnation and accumulation of Qi and Blood, and condensation of Body Fluids. The Liver stores Blood; therefore, it is when the Liver receives Blood that vision is enabled.
