Wind millet (Feng Su) appearing on the eyelids belongs to external obstruction eye diseases. At the initial stage of this disease, it is caused by the accumulation of toxic heat in the Lung organ, heat retention in the Large Intestine, and wind pathogen in the Liver, leading to the gradual formation of granular protrusions on the skin of the upper and lower eyelids.
The *De Xiao Fang* by Wei Shi states: Initially, small bumps appear on both upper and lower eyelids, starting as small as millet seeds and gradually enlarging to the size of rice grains. Some may be red or white, not very painful, and hard in texture.
