Method for Grinding and Refining Zhongru (Stalactite) (from *Shenghui Fang*)
Select Zhongru produced in Shaozhou. Regardless of thickness, as long as the color is bright, clean, and lustrous, it can be used for refining. Only those with yellow or reddish colors are not used. When refining, the degree of boiling is not strictly limited.
If one is concerned about throat discomfort, water may be added.
Add to water and stir evenly.
If it feels dry, it indicates that the water has evaporated; add more water. Maintain a consistency similar to thin rice gruel. Fine Zhongru powder will float on top, while coarse particles will sink to the bottom. Grind repeatedly around the edges of the mortar and pestle.
If there are coarse parts that are not evenly ground, continue processing.
Wushi Huming San (Five-Stone Life-Protecting Powder) (from *Shenghui Fang*), treats various diseases caused by deficiency and fatigue, emaciation, cough with reversed qi, shortness of breath, heat in the bones, vexing pain in the four limbs, abdominal borborygmus with acute pain, difficulty in urination and defecation, frequent urination with dark yellow urine, dizziness and vertigo, aversion to wind and bi-syndrome due to wind-cold-dampness, and indigestion. It is suitable for all these conditions.
Refined Zhongru (2 liang), Zi Yingshi (Purple Quartz, 2 liang, finely ground and processed by water flotation), Bai Yingshi (White Quartz, 2 liang, finely ground and processed by water flotation), Liu Huang (Sulfur, 2 liang), Chishi Zhi (Red Kaolin, 2 liang), Gan Jiang (Dried Ginger, 3 fen, processed), Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogon Tuber, 1 liang, heart removed).

Wait for cooling, then mix evenly.

The above herbs total 48 fen, equivalent to 12 liang. Mix with refined white honey, pound 3,000 times until ready. Take 25 pills each time, twice daily. If constitution allows alcohol consumption, a small amount is recommended, followed by walking 300-400 steps for better effect. Ancient methods state that eating dry food enhances the pill's efficacy and speed of absorption. If feeling heat rushing upward, drinking 1-2 mouthfuls of water helps; dietary restriction is beneficial. Also, eat dry rice and bean paste, but do not overconsume. Do not strictly adhere to ancient methods; follow this method cautiously. The benefits of tonification cannot be fully described.
