神仙服地黄实延年益寿方（出圣惠方）
Heaven distributes righteous Qi (vital energy), regulating the appropriate rhythms of darkness and brightness, wind and rain. Humans inherit Taihe (Great Harmony) Qi, yet suffer from ailments caused by cold and heat in daily life. Thus, changes in work and rest generate effects, with gains and losses arising naturally like the shedding and growing of teeth.
If one seeks to become an immortal by consuming elixirs and herbs, one must select plants whose branches, leaves, forms, and substances are firm and unchanging, such as pine trees, cypress trees, and Poria cocos (Fu Ling). The intent is fundamentally to prolong life and enhance longevity. As for the sequence of administration, it must not be disordered.
Laojun Yishou San (Old Lord's Longevity Powder, from *Shenghui Fang*)
Atractylodis Rhizoma (Bai Zhu, 4 liang) Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fang Feng, 1 liang, remove rhizome head) Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum (Gan Jiang, 1.5 liang, processed until cracked and crushed) Asari Radix (Xi Xin, 3 fen) Platycodonis Radix (Jie Geng, 1 liang, remove rhizome head) Muscovite powder (Yun Mu Fen) Chrysanthemi Flos (Ju Hua, each 2 liang, processed until cracked, peel removed)
Take evenly in spring and autumn; after sixty days, signs of aging will reverse. If sexual intercourse is abstained from, immortality can be achieved.

Separately take Phellodendri Cortex (Huang Bo Pi) and Broussonetiae Cortex (Chu Bai Pi), finely cut together, extract strong juice, mix with powder to achieve proper hardness, pound again in a mortar. Make into bamboo rolls, width 2.5 cun, thickness less than 2 fen, adjusted according to size and density. This has no fixed rule; shape into cakes by hand, pierce center, sun-dry. String over a hundred cakes using Kadsura vine as rope, or bamboo strips. Hang in a ventilated, shaded place. If boiling is required, roast on charcoal fire until fragrant and cooked, do not burn. Pound into powder in mortar, take as needed, decoct to replace tea. Adjust concentration as desired, add a little salt when boiling; frequent pounding makes it smooth and delicious. Adding salt, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Ju Pi), and Pipers Longum Fruit (Bi Ba) is also good. It dispels wind, breaks qi stagnation, resolves Dan Shi toxicity, tonifies waist and legs, sharpens hearing and vision, firms muscles and grows flesh, warms sinews and bones, opens interstices (Cou Li). Treats head blockage and stuffiness, eye pain, heart deficiency with weak legs, inability to walk. Its efficacy is indescribable. For conditions like Hong Jiao Jiao (foot qi/gout), Lung Qi rebellion, and Hernia Qi (Shan Qi)...

Steam with 1 dan 2 dou of millet in a vessel. When rice is cooked, sun-dry and pound into powder. Take 1 fang cun bi before meals, mixed with drink. Strength doubles; after five days, blood vessels become full; after ten days, complexion becomes radiant; after fifteen days, walking speed matches galloping horses; after thirty days, see light at night; after seventy days, white hair falls out completely, and old teeth fall out. Swallow seven pills, three times a day, and they will pass. For those with white hair but intact teeth, take only the powder, 500 pills as above. For those with fallen teeth, pills will fall out. Entering mountains, swallow seven pills daily to fast without hunger. Since obtaining this prescription, nearly three decades have passed. Recently admired it, doubting its efficacy after years of inquiry. Many reputable figures had used it effectively, so I took it exactly as prescribed. As long as one persists, do not merely use common tonics.
