入在盒子内。上以川椒盖头令满。以盖子合定。蜜调茶土固封。土内仍着少盐。外以铁线系
缠定。放地上。仍以一瓦子衬底上以醋为灰冢。下三斤火候。消得一半。来更下二斤。火冷
取出。埋在湿地一宿出火毒了。拣砂令净研细。糯米糊为丸。如梧桐子大。不拘时以人参汤

治劳瘦咳嗽\x（出本草）
用萝卜和羊肉鲫鱼煮食之。
Qingdai (3 qian), Chensha, Cizhuang, Xionghuang, Baijian, Xinshi (each 1 qian, all used raw). The above substances are ground into fine powder together. Danchi (100 grains) is soaked in decoction, the skin is removed, and it is ground into a paste to form pills with the powder, sized like mung beans. Each dose consists of 3 to 5 pills, taken with clear tea before bedtime.
Qinjiao Tang: Treats asthma and cough caused by deficiency consumption. Accompanied by alternating chills and fever, and night sweats.
Qinjiao (remove seedlings and soil), Gancao (roasted and cut, each 1 liang), Guizhi (remove coarse bark), Chaihu (remove seedlings), Danggui (slice and roast, each 5 qian). The above substances are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose uses 3 qian, added with one zhan of water, 3 slices of Shengjiang, 1 Wumei, and 1 Zao (split open), decocted together until reduced to 7/10 volume, dregs removed, and taken warm.
Ziwan San (from *Shenghui Fang*): Treats qi rebellion due to deficiency consumption and incessant cough.
Ziwan (wash and remove seedlings and soil), Baifuling (each 1 liang), Wuweizi, Baihe (each 3 fen), Gancao (5 qian, roasted until slightly red and cut). The above substances are ground into powder. Each dose uses 3 qian, decocted with one zhong zhan of water until reduced to 5/10 volume, dregs removed, and taken warm. Taken 3 to 4 times daily.
Helisan (from *Yonglei Lianfang*): Treats labor cough and qi rebellion.
Chifuling (2 liang), Helilepi (3 liang), Muxiang (5 qian), Binglang (1 liang), Danggui (1 liang, stir-fried), Dahuang (1 liang, stir-fried), Wuzhuyu (soaked in decoction seven times then stir-fried, 5 qian). The above substances are chopped. Each dose uses 3 qian, added with 3 slices of Shengjiang and one zhan of water, decocted to 6/10 volume, and taken warm.

Renshen Guangui Yin: Treats cough and five labors and seven injuries.
Renshen, Guangui, Foercao, Kuandonghua (stamen), Hanshuishi. All in equal parts, roasted dry and ground into fine powder. Each dose weighs one large qian. Inhale the powder directly using a reed tube. If vomiting occurs, chew Shengjiang, rinse mouth with warm water, and take after meals. Avoid chicken and noodles.
Dihuang Wan (from *Jingyan Liangfang*): Treats loss of voice due to labor cough. This medicine moistens the lungs to restore voice.

Baifuling Tang: Treats deficiency consumption cough.
Baifuling (remove black skin), Wulingzhi, Baizhi (lightly stir-fried, each 1 liang), Huangmingjiao (two pieces weighing one liang total, roasted until dry). The above substances are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose uses 3 qian, added with one zhan of water, decocted to 8/10 volume, dregs removed, a small amount of honey added, boiled two more times, cooled slightly, and sipped slowly. Fenxiang Touge San (from *Xuanming Lun*): Treats all types of labor cough, chest and diaphragm congestion and fullness.
Xionghuang, Foercao, EGuan Shi, Kuandonghua (equal parts). The above substances are ground into powder. Each dose uses one qian of medicine, placed in an incense burner and burned.
Renshen Muxiang San (from *Baiyi Xuanfang*): Treats labor cough, effective after repeated use.
Renshen (1 liang), Poguzhi (lightly stir-fried, not burnt, 1 liang), Muxiang (1 qian), Yingsu (half, remove stem, select non-moth-eaten, roast with honey into powder, not burnt). The above substances are ground into fine powder, refined honey used to make cakes, each weighing half a liang. Each dose is one cake, added with one and a half zhan of water, 3 slices of Shengjiang, and 2 Zao, slow-fired until reduced to one zhan, dregs removed, and taken warm. This is the formula of Zhang Zisi, transmitted by Jiang Qianpan. Seen many times to be effective.
Aiye Tang: Treats deficiency consumption cough in men and women, incessant phlegm and saliva.
Fudao Aiye, Shengjiang (equal parts), Xingren (raw, remove skin and tips), Songjiemingzimù. First, chop the Mingzi wood finely, add one zhan of water, boil several times. Then add Aiye and Shengjiang, decoct to 7/10 volume, remove dregs. Chew Xingren thoroughly first, then swallow with the decoction. Take before bedtime. If there is blood in stool, remove Xingren.
Renshen Yinzi (from *Haishang Mingfang*): Treats labor cough with rapid breathing.
Suhuaqiao (2 liang, remove top and stem, roast with honey), Renshen (remove rhizome), Xingren (soak in decoction, remove skin and tips, each 1 liang), Gancao (roasted, 1 liang). The above substances are ground into powder. Each dose uses three large qian, added with one zhan of water, one Wumei, and 3 Zao, decocted together to 7/10 volume, dregs removed, and taken warm. Take after meals or before bedtime.
Fangfeng Tang (from *Jingyan Liangfang*): Treats labor cough with deficiency asthma, rough breathing, rattling phlegm in throat, inability to sleep due to cold sensation in throat, resembling death. This is due to insufficient righteous qi, contracting cold leading to this disease. Such severe condition warrants this prescription.
Fangfeng, Chuanxiong (each 2.5 qian), Gancao (1 qian), Pipaye (remove hairs, 1 liang). The above substances are ground into powder. Each dose uses 2 qian, added with one zhan of water, decocted to 9/10 volume, add 50 pills of Liuhuang Wan, take on an empty stomach.
Xuanhu San: Treats deficiency consumption asthma and cough, coughing up pus and blood, muscle heat, night sweats, weakness.
Xuanhusuo, Zhimu, Beimu, Kuandonghua (each 1 liang). The above substances are ground into fine powder. Each dose uses 2 qian, pork 1 liang sliced thinly, sprinkled with medicine, rolled, roasted over fine fire until cooked, chewed finely, swallowed with Shengjiang decoction. Bei Wuweizi (2 liang), Biejia (thick ones), Digupi (each 3 liang). The above substances are ground into powder, mixed with refined honey into pills sized like paulownia seeds. Take 30-50 pills with warm wine or salt water before meals on an empty stomach. Women take with vinegar water. This is a secret formula from Qujiang, highly effective because the prescription has rationale.
Ciya Fang: Treats emaciation with cough and asthma, bone steaming, emaciation, tonifying qi.
Use Ciya, i.e., winter crow. Can be marinated with Wuweizi and roasted for eating, which is good. Large crows are not edible, meat is astringent, only useful for treating disease, not for regular consumption. Inject eye juice into eyes to see spirits and ghosts at night.
Treating Lung Labor Cough
Use 1 liang of Cizhuang, place in a clay box without sealing. Sit the box on the ground, surround with ash packed firmly, about 2 cun thick. Place 1 jin of charcoal around the top, burn with fire. After burning away 1/3, extinguish fire, wait for cooling, take out and grind into flour. Use Chan Su to form pills sized like millet. Take 3 pills daily on an empty stomach with Xingren decoction for cure.
Xiao Bailao San (from *Xuanming Lun*): Treats persistent labor asthma and cough with spontaneous sweating.

Ziwan, Sangbaipi, Jiegeng, Xuduan, Gancao, Wuweizi (each 1 liang), Chixiaodou (1 he). The above substances are ground into powder. Add one zhan of water, 5 qian of powder, a ball-sized piece of Qingzhuru, decoct together to 7/10 volume, remove dregs, take warm.
Jiajian Jianzhong Tang (from *Weisheng Jiabao Fang*): Treats deficiency consumption cough, excessive phlegm, gradually becoming labor disease.
Huangqi (2 or 3 liang), Baishaoyao (6 liang), Guizhi (2 liang), Gancao (2 liang), add Banxia (5 liang). The above substances are coarse powder. Add one and a half zhan of water, 4 qian of powder, 5 slices of Shengjiang, 2 Zao, decoct together to 7/10 volume, remove dregs, add a little Yitang, boil until melted. Take warm before meals. For abdominal distension, remove Zao, add 3 liang Fuling; for palpitations, add 3 liang Baiziren; for tidal fever, add 3 liang Chaihu; for asthma, add 3 liang Wuweizi; for spontaneous sweating, add Xiaomai to decoct and take.
Treats all men and women with labor cough, rapid breathing, restlessness, wheezing, surging and rapid pulse, severe illness. Suitable to eat this formula. Do not take if pulse is faint/heavy hand no pulse. (From *Huming Fang*)
Huangqin, Mahuang (remove roots), Chaihu (remove hairs and rhizomes), Sangbaipi, Jiegeng, Duhuo, Renshen, Beimu (remove hearts), Gejie (roasted with butter to yellow), Qianghuo (each 1 fen), Tianlinggai (roasted with butter to scorched yellow, 1 fen), Huanglian (4 zhu). The above substances are ground into fine powder. Each dose uses 7 qian, one bowl of tongzi xiaobian (child's urine), 5 fresh Cong roots, placed in a new bottle, seal lid, burn rice husks around four sides, extract one zhan. Take warm immediately upon waking, half an hour after breakfast, consume at Si hour.
Zhusha Dan (from *Shibian Liangfang*): Treats labor cough.
Take 4 liang of Tiandong, crush. Take a white small box. Put Tiandong in an incense burner, burn with 2-3 pieces of charcoal. Cover the box above to let smoke熏 (smoke) the inside until very bright black. Still cover smoke, let it exit from one place to make smoke dense. Take 2 liang of Sha, put in the box, cover with Chuanjiao to fill, seal with lid, seal with honey-mixed tea earth, add little salt inside earth, wrap with iron wire outside, place on ground,衬 (line) bottom with a tile, mound with vinegar ash, apply 3 jin fire heat, melt half, add another 2 jin later, cool fire, take out, bury in wet ground overnight to remove fire toxicity.
