Stop when the alum is dry and smoke is gone. Place on the ground to remove fire toxicity. Grind into powder. Then add Caowu, Guodan, Xeshao, grind together. Store in a new tile jar, bury in a dry place underground. Take out after two days. If there is hemorrhoid pain, add a little Muxiang and Moyao powder as needed, mix into the previous medicine. If using, first gently wash with Gancao water or Cong water. Do not break it. Mix with raw sesame oil or honey. Sweep the medicine onto the hemorrhoid head with a feather. Or use a brush to dot a little medicine on the hemorrhoid. When sitting or lying down, face the hemorrhoid head towards an empty space. Sit on a chair with a hole, or a straw mat with a hole, so the anus sits over the empty space. Wait for yellow fluid to drip naturally. It will dry up within ten days. Within another five to seven days, the scab will fall off naturally, removing the root. Good flesh will grow back, restoring flatness. Defecate in the wild, do not use the latrine pit, lest old feces touch it. Avoid sexual intercourse, greasy food, etc., for one month. For distant cases, it can be cured within ten days; for recent cases, it turns to water, removes the root, and good flesh grows back. Cao Wu, a doctor in Lin'an specializing in hemorrhoids, was originally a barber/surgeon. Recommended by the Yellow Courtyard, he was used by Emperor Gaozong of Song to treat this condition with this formula. After curing, he rose to the rank of Observation Commissioner. A scholar-official, Inner Minister, also suffered from this for ten years. The formula says: In the past, an inner lady in Longqing Prefecture suffered from this disease for a long time. She got this formula for treatment and thus eradicated the root. She rewarded him heavily. Later, whenever he was transferred to a new post, he never forgot her and always sent many gifts to treat her. Dong was moved by her intention and generously gave her the formula, strongly advising her to keep it secret. An frequently prepared it to give to others, with no ineffective cases. I heard of it and sought it. It cannot but be transmitted.
Xunxi Fang (Fumigation and Washing Formula) (From Jingyan Liangfang)
Huaihua (Sophorae Flos, half a liang), Lianfang (Nelumbinis Nuciferae Calyx, one), Wubeizi (Gallnut, three, finely ground), Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba, five qian), Diyupi (Sanguisorbae Radix Cortex, half a liang). The above are ground into powder. Each dose...
Wuhui Gao (Five Ashes Ointment) (From Wei Shi Fang)
Treats all accumulated toxins in the zang-fu organs that manifest as hemorrhoids, regardless of how long ago they started. Whether shaped like a chicken comb, lotus flower, walnut, or cow's udder, whether internal or external, all are treated.
Qiaomai hui (Buckwheat husk ash, half a dou), Jingchai (Elaeagnus branch), Laoshanzhi (Old fir branch), Shanbaizhu (Mountain white bamboo), Jichai (Thistle branch). Cut the four types of branches and bamboo into lengths of about one chi. Split them into pieces with an axe.
Boil to extract charcoal juice. Use a wine filter, plug the holes with cloth, place the buckwheat husk ash inside the wine filter, and pour the extracted charcoal juice from the four types of wood over it. Then collect the juice, put it in a pot...
Do not...
Apply around the four sides of the ulcer for protection. Then use a bamboo comb to pick up the medicine and apply it to the hemorrhoid. Pain stops shortly. Wipe off the medicine with paper, reapply. Do this three or four times, until the hemorrhoid turns black like ink, then stop. Wash with water. Every day, keep a basin of cold water, mix with Cong soup, wash three to five times. After six or seven days, when pus and filth are completely discharged, the ulcer will disappear naturally.
Zhi Zhi Fang (Hemorrhoid Treatment Formula)
Huaihua (Sophorae Flos, half a jin, wrapped in five pig intestines, boiled in a clay pot until hot, taken out, Huaihua baked into powder), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Baiyaojian (Platycodon Root Confection), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma). Take five...

Coarsely crush. Each dose uses one liang, three sheng of water, decoct thirty to fifty times. Fumigate and wash the hemorrhoids. If not effective, use again and it will heal.
