Kuan Chang Wan (Intestine-Widening Pill)

Baifan (Alumen), Ruxiang (Olibanum), Nifan (Vitriolum Rubrum) (a small amount). Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Use 2 sheng of good vinegar, boil down to a paste. Apply externally to the affected area.
Li Zhi Fang (Hemorrhoid-Regulating Formula)
Wulingzhi (Trogopterori Excrement, 4 qian), Ninfen (Calomelas, half liang), Shexiang (Moschus, 3 zhu). Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. First wash the area with Gancao Tang (Licorice Decoction), then mix the powder with saliva. Smear onto the hemorrhoids.
Xun Zhi Fang (Hemorrhoid-Fumigation Formula)
Guangui (Cinnamomi Cortex, 3 qian), Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus, 5 qian), Shetui (Bombyx Batryticatus or Serpent Skin, 1 strip). Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. For each use, take 1 qian, decoct in water, and fumigate/wash the affected area.
Shou Zhi Fang (Hemorrhoid-Astringing Formula)
Bailian (Ampelopsis Radix), Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma) (each 1 liang), Huangpi (Phellodendri Cortex or similar bark, 2 liang). Grind the above ingredients into fine powder, add a small amount of Qingfen (Calomelas) and Shexiang (Moschus). Mix with Sesame Oil and apply externally. Immediate effect.

Treats swelling and pain of the five types of hemorrhoids. Continuous bleeding below. Or stagnation and obstruction of Ying and Wei (nutritive and defensive qi), body pain. Constipation due to wind closure, inability to pass stool.

Jingjie Sui (Schizonepetae Spica), Sanggen Bapi (Mori Cortex, 1 liang each). Prepare as a powder. Take 3 qian bi (approx. 3 mace) per dose. With one bowl of water, add 2 Chou Ju (Citrus reticulata 'Chachi'), smashed. Boil for three to five boils. Pour into a container, fumigate the sore while hot.
