Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Aiye (Mugwort Leaf), Suan Shiliu Pi (Acid Pomegranate Peel) (each 2 liang): Take the above herbs, add 7 sheng of water, boil to obtain 2 sheng of decoction. Remove the dregs. Add Ejiao and melt it. Divide into three doses for oral administration.
Zhugen Tang (Rhubarb Root Decoction) (from *San Yin Fang*): Treats spontaneous bleeding during pregnancy without apparent cause, unbearable abdominal pain, or discharge of yellow fluid resembling lacquer or mung bean juice.
Ye Zhugen (Wild Rhubarb Root) (cut and stir-fried), Jinyin (Honeysuckle) (each 1 liang): Take the above herbs, add one zhan of water and one zhan of wine, decoct until one zhan remains. Remove the dregs. Divide into two doses for oral administration. Time is not restricted.
Jiao Ai Yin (Gelatin and Mugwort Drink) (from *Wei Shi Fang*): Treats sudden bleeding during pregnancy, fetal qi rushing to the heart, cold extremities approaching death.
Sheng Ai Zhi (Fresh Mugwort Juice) (2 zhan), Ejiao (Donkey-hide Gelatin), Bai Mi (White Honey) (each 2 liang): Decoct the above together until 1.5 zhan remains. Take when slightly warm. If fresh mugwort is unavailable, use concentrated decoction of cooked mugwort.
Another prescription adds a large piece of Zhu Ru (Bamboo Shavings), decoct together for one boiling point, divide into three doses.
Treats pregnancy damage with continuous bleeding due to fetal disturbance. (from *Sheng Hui Fang*)
Gancao (Licorice Root) (1 liang, roasted until slightly red), Ejiao (3 liang), Bang Fen (Concha Tridacnae) (stir-fried): First, take one large zhan of water, decoct Gancao, remove dregs. Then add Ji Zi (Chicken Egg) and Ejiao, decoct together until Ejiao melts. Stir while hot. Divide into three doses. Time is not restricted. Another prescription excludes Bang Fen.
Zhi Ke Tang (Citrus Aurantium Decoction) (from *Ba Cui Fang*): Treats women with fetal leakage bleeding and bleeding caused by specific incidents.
Zhi Ke (Aurantium Fructus) (pulp removed, bran-roasted), Huang Qin (Scutellaria Root) (each half liang), Bai Zhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome) (1 liang): Grind into powder. Decoct in water. Take warm before meals.
Gancao Tang (Licorice Decoction): Treats sudden bleeding during pregnancy, fetal restlessness, and continuous abdominal pain.
Gancao (roasted until red), Ejiao (roasted until dry, each 1 liang), Sheng Gan Di Huang (Raw Rehmannia Root) (dried, half liang): Coarsely crush and sieve into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. (Text implies decoction in water).
Lujiao Jiao Tang (Deer Antler Gelatin Decoction): Treats fetal restlessness during pregnancy with continuous leakage bleeding.
Lujiao Jiao (Deer Antler Gelatin) (roasted dry, 1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng), Baifuling (Poria) (black skin removed, coarsely cut, each 1 liang): Coarsely crush and sieve into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. Add one zhan of water, decoct until 0.7 zhan remains. Remove dregs. Take warm.
Zong Hui San (Palma Ash Powder): Treats fetal restlessness during pregnancy with continuous bleeding and umbilical/abdominal pain.
Zonglupi (Trachycarpus Frondis) (burned to ash), Yuancansha (Bombyx Batryticatus) (stir-fried, each 1 liang), Ejiao (roasted dry, 3 qian): Grind into powder. Each dose is 2 qian. Mix with warm wine for oral administration. Time is not restricted.
Ai Ye San (Mugwort Leaf Powder) (from *Sheng Hui Fang*): Treats fetal restlessness during pregnancy with bleeding, mental restlessness and confusion.
Aiye (Mugwort Leaf) (1 liang, lightly stir-fried), Chishizhi (Halloysitum Rubrum) (1.5 liang), Baifuling (Poria) (1 liang): Crush and sieve into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. Add one medium zhan of water, half qian of Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger), three dates. Decoct until 0.6 zhan remains. Remove dregs. Take warm at any time.
Treats fetal restlessness during pregnancy with continuous bleeding and abdominal pain. (from *Sheng Hui Fang*)
Ejiao (2 liang, crushed and stir-fried until yellow and dry), Shu Gan Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia Root) (1.5 liang), Danshen (Salvia Miltiorrhiza) (1 liang): Crush and sieve into a powder. Each dose is 4 qian. Add one medium zhan of water, decoct until 0.6 zhan remains. Remove dregs. Take at any time.
Treats fetal restlessness and pain caused by lifting heavy objects during pregnancy, along with the following prescription. (from *Sheng Hui Fang*)
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis) (cut and lightly stir-fried), Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) (mustaches removed), Ejiao (crushed and stir-fried until yellow and dry, each 1 liang): Grind finely into a powder. Take at any time, mixed with warm wine, 2 qian per dose.
Treats sudden bleeding during pregnancy with unbearable lower back pain.
Lujiao (Deer Horn) (finely cut), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis) (cut, each half liang): Process into one dose. Add three zhan of water, decoct until half remains. Take on an empty stomach before meals in one go. Within two doses, symptoms will subside.
Jiao Ai Tang (Gelatin and Mugwort Decoction) (from *Da Quan Liang Fang*): Treats sudden bleeding during pregnancy with unbearable lower back pain, and treats fetal leakage with abdominal pain.
Ejiao (1 liang, stir-fried), Aiye Hui (Ash of Mugwort Leaf) (half liang): Grind into powder. Take 2 qian on an empty stomach mixed with glutinous rice drink. Decocting in water is also acceptable.
Xiong Tang (Cyperi Rhizoma Decoction) (also known as Fo Shou San): Treats fetal restlessness during pregnancy with bleeding, severe cardiac and abdominal colic, unknown fetal viability.
Xuduan Tang (Dipsaci Radix Decoction) (from *Sheng Hui Fang*): Treats bleeding and hematuria during pregnancy. Hematuria in pregnancy is caused by meridian injury from overexertion, internal heat affecting the blood.
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis), Sheng Di Huang (Rehmannia Glutinosa) (each 1 liang), Xuduan (Dipsacus Asper) (half liang), Chi Shaoyao (Red Peony Root) (1 qian): Grind into powder. On an empty stomach, mix with scallion white decoction, 2 qian per dose.
Danggui Yin (Angelica Drink): Treats fetal restlessness, abdominal pain, and bleeding during pregnancy.
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis) (roasted and baked, 1 liang), Congbai (Scallion White) (finely chopped, one handful): Mix evenly. Each dose is 5 qian. Add 1.5 zhan of wine, decoct until 0.8 zhan remains. Remove dregs. Take warm. Another prescription treats restless fetus with waist and abdominal pain, decocted with water and wine. Urine can also be used as a vehicle.
Ejiao Yin (Gelatin Drink) (from *Da Quan Liang Fang*): Treats sudden fetal restlessness with continuous bleeding during pregnancy.
Ejiao (roasted dry), Shu Gan Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia Root) (baked, each 2 liang): Coarsely crush and sieve into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. Add one zhan of water and wine combined, decoct until 0.7 zhan remains. Remove dregs. Take warm. Another prescription uses 2 liang of Ejiao powder and half jin of Sheng Di Huang, crushed for juice, extracted with 3 sheng of wine, divided into three doses. Another prescription for hematuria is ground into fine powder, taken with scallion soup or gruel drink.

Dou Jiang (Soybean Paste) (one large zhan, lightly baked until dry), Sheng Gan Di Huang (Raw Rehmannia Root) (2 liang): Crush and sieve into powder. Before meals, take one qian mixed with gruel drink.
Treats fetal restlessness and continuous bleeding during pregnancy.
Use Baicao Shuang (Soot from Kitchen Chimney) crushed into fine powder. Each dose is two large qian. Mix with concentrated Xiong Tang (Cyperi Rhizoma Decoction) and take before meals.
Treats fetal restlessness with bleeding and vaginal pain. (from *Wei Shi Fang*)
Use Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) ground into powder. Take one qian with wine, three times daily. Also treats fetal restlessness and bleeding caused by lifting heavy loads. Avoid pork, cold water, etc.
Treats fetal restlessness in women with lower back pain and bleeding.
Use two eggs from yellow-legged chickens. Break them into a vessel. Mix with Bai Fen (Rice Flour) to a consistency like thin porridge. Take in one go.
Treats sudden fetal restlessness and insecurity, or lower back pain with fetal movement pressing against the heart, continuous bleeding. (from *Zhou Hou Fang*)
Crush Changpu Gen (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma) root to extract 3 sheng of juice and take it. Another prescription treats fetal restlessness with labor fever, bleeding, and irritability in hands and feet.
Treats fetal restlessness with lower back pain pressing against the heart or bleeding. (from *Sheng Hui Fang*)
Use 1 liang of Binglang (Areca Seed), grind into powder. Boil Congbai (Scallion White) in running water from the east to make a thick juice. Mix with one qian of powder and take.
If fetal restlessness and bleeding are caused by falling or lifting heavy objects, accompanied by abdominal pain. (from *Zhou Hou Fang*)
Take 2 sheng of Chixiaodou (Adzuki Bean), roast until fragrant. Cook 14 chicken eggs. Break them and add to the beans. Roast again until yellow-black. Grind into powder. Mix with wine and take one bi (measure). Three times daily.
Ejiao Jiu (Gelatin Wine) (from *Sheng Hui Fang*): Prescription for spontaneous continuous bleeding during pregnancy without cause.
Use 2 liang of Ejiao. Add 1.5 sheng of wine. Boil until Ejiao dissolves. Divide into three doses. Take consecutively.
Kuizi Yin (Abutilon Seed Drink) (from *Da Quan Liang Fang*): Treats sudden bleeding during pregnancy.
Dihuang Jiu (Rehmannia Wine) (from *Qian Jin Fang*): Treats continuous bleeding from fetal leakage. Prescription for when blood is exhausted and fetus dies.
Cut 1 sheng of Sheng Di Huang (Raw Rehmannia Root). Add 5 sheng of wine. Boil to obtain 3 sheng. Divide into three doses. Also treats post-abortion bleeding. Another prescription uses Sheng Di Huang juice boiled with wine, or powder taken with wine.
Another prescription (from *Qian Jin Fang*)
Burn Kuigen Jing (Abutilon Stem) to ash. Take one fang cun bi (square inch spoonful) with wine, three times daily. Gruel drink is also acceptable.
Shao Chengchui Fang (Burnt Scale Hammer Prescription): Treats sudden bleeding during pregnancy. Also treats retained placenta.
Heat an iron hammer until red-hot. Place it in wine. Repeat this three times. When warm, take one zhan.
Treats sudden fetal restlessness and insecurity during pregnancy, umbilical and abdominal pain, fetal movement pressing against the heart, continuous bleeding.
Use half jin of Qu (Medicated Leaven). Crush it. Mix with hot water and squeeze out three medium zhan of juice. Divide into five doses throughout the day. Another prescription uses raw flour mixed into cakes, squeezed with water for juice.
Jiling Jiu (Chicken Feather Wine): Treats bleeding during pregnancy with continuous pain. Also treats urinary incontinence.
Treats pregnancy damage with continuous bleeding. (from *Zhou Hou Fang*)
Use one jin of Liyu (Carp). Cook with one sheng of aged white glutinous rice into porridge and eat. Eat according to appetite, cooking fresh as needed.
Another prescription
Li Sheng San (Establishing Sage Powder) (from *Ji Sheng Ba Cui Fang*): Treats continuous bleeding during pregnancy.
Use two chicken livers. Boil them. Use one sheng of wine to cook thoroughly. Consume together for great efficacy.
Treats maternal labor fever causing fetal restlessness and bleeding, with irritability in hands and feet.
Extract juice from Puhuang Gen (Typha Pollen Root) and take 1-2 sheng.
Treats continuous bleeding due to fetal restlessness.
Burn dried peaches that have not fallen from peach trees to ash. Take with water for cure. For postpartum vulvar swelling and pain, burn Tao Ren (Peach Seed) and apply externally.
Treats sudden continuous bleeding during pregnancy, and treats Zi Lin (painful urination during pregnancy). Also treats sudden fetal restlessness with only lower back pain, sudden fetal movement pressing against the heart, or continuous bleeding.
Take a piece of Aiye (Mugwort Leaf) the size of a chicken egg. Add 3 sheng of wine. Boil to obtain 2 sheng. Remove dregs. Divide into two doses. Take warm at any time. Another prescription for sudden continuous hematuria uses fresh Aiye decocted in water, taken before meals. In winter, use dried leaves.
Dou Jiang San (Soybean Paste Powder): Treats bleeding during pregnancy.
Use 2 sheng of Dou Jiang (Soybean Paste). Strain off the juice. Roast until dry and grind into powder. Take one fang cun bi with wine, five to six times daily.
Treats a woman pregnant for six months who suffers lower back pain and bleeding due to injury.
Combine Yuzhu San (Jade Candle Powder), Chengqi Tang (Chengqi Decoction), and Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) in equal parts. Add Pomiao (Mirabilite) and decoct. After several bowel movements, pain stops immediately and bleeding ceases. Highly effective.
La Jiu Fang (Wine with Beeswax Prescription) (from *Sheng Hui Fang*): Treats fetal restlessness with abdominal pain, continuous bleeding, approaching death.
Take one qian of La (Beeswax). Add two zhan of clear wine. Boil for three to five boils. Add wax and melt. Take in one go for effect. (Another prescription uses wax the size of a chicken egg).
Prescription for treating hematuria during pregnancy.
Burn Shu Rang (Millet Husk) to ash. Take one fang cun bi with wine, three times daily. (Alternatively, use Shu Rang Jing - Millet Husk Stem).
Another prescription (from *Zhou Hou Fang*)
Roast Ejiao until yellow and dry, grind into powder. Before each meal, take two qian mixed with gruel drink.
Bi Sheng San (Invincible Victory Powder): Treats hematemesis and epistaxis during pregnancy. Also treats continuous hematemesis.
Rub Ma Bo (Fly Agaric) with raw cloth to make powder. Mix with thick rice drink and take. (Changli said: "Niu Sou and Ma Bo are good medicines for physicians.")
Prescription for treating sudden continuous hematuria during pregnancy. (from *Sheng Hui Fang*)
Take 3 liang of Sheng Di Huang (Raw Rehmannia Root), cut it. Add 1.5 large zhan of water. Decoct until 0.8 zhan remains. Remove dregs. Divide into two doses before meals.
Xiong Yin (Cyperi Rhizoma Drink) (also known as Ejiao San, from *Qian Jin Fang*): Treats fetal restlessness with bleeding, lower back and abdominal pain.
Ejiao (2 liang), Xiong (Cyperi Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis), Qing Zhu Ru (Green Bamboo Shavings) (each 5 liang): Add 1.5 dou of water. Boil 2 jin of silver, remove the liquid. Discard silver. Add herbs and decoct to obtain 2.5 sheng. Add Ejiao and melt. Divide into three doses. If ineffective, prepare again. Another prescription uses 2 liang of Gancao, no Qing Zhu Ru, decoct in water. Another prescription for excessive fetal leakage bleeding with stabbing chest pain uses only water decoction.
Sangjisheng Tang (Taxillus Decoction) (also known as Xiong San, from *Zhu Shi Ji Yan Fang*): Treats sudden fetal restlessness and bleeding in the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy with unbearable abdominal pain.
Sangjisheng (Taxilli Caulis) (4 qian), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis) (1.1 liang), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong) (8 qian): Decoct in one sheng of water to obtain 0.8 he. Add half sheng of clear wine. Decoct to obtain 0.8 he. Divide into three doses. Take another dose after walking five to six li.

Jingmi (Oryza Sativa Germ) (5 sheng), Huangqi (Astragalus Root) (6 liang): Decoct in seven sheng of water to obtain two sheng. Divide into four doses. Another prescription uses Shumi (Glutinous Millet).
