To treat metallic injuries, regardless of season or severity, immediately apply a thick layer of calcined iron ore powder (Duan Shi) and bandage upon initial bleeding. This alleviates pain and accelerates healing. If calcined iron ore is unavailable, plant ash can be used as a substitute.
