The *Huangdi Neijing* (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon) states: Some diseases present with symptoms resembling mania, which arise from Yang pathogens. When Yang Qi is suddenly frustrated and difficult to soothe, it leads to irritability and anger. This disease is named "Yang Jue" (Yang Reversal).
Chifuling Tang (Red Poria Decoction), also known as Lingyangjiao Tang (Antelope Horn Decoction), from *Xuanming Lunfang*: Treats Yang Qi reversal. Symptoms include frequent anger and mania, with visible pulsation of the neck vessels.
Ingredients: Chifuling (Red Poria, remove black skin, 1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng), Lingyangjiao (Antelope Horn, shaved, each 3 liang), Yuanzhi (Polygala Root, remove heart), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root and Rhizome, cut and stir-fried, each half liang), Gancao (Licorice Root, dosage/preparation incomplete in source).
Zhuli Shigao Tang (Bamboo Sap and Gypsum Decoction), from *Shengji Zonglu*: Treats Yang Jue causing frequent anger, restlessness and agitation, with pathogenic heat attacking the head and neck.

Usage: Use Tieluo (Iron filings used for dyeing soap) or Tiejiang (Iron slurry), a single ingredient. For each dose, take one zhan warmed with meat broth. Take after meals. Another method: Boil 10 jin of raw iron to make slurry, drink one zhan daily, on an empty stomach.
